Bam Margera Has Gone To Rehab With Help From Dr. Phil
Bam Margera is having a week. First, he got kicked off a flight for being a drunken mess and then videotaped himself yelling at an airline employee (because the employee had the audacity to say he had more than one drink). Bam then went on to air ALL of his dirty laundry on several long-winded Instagram posts, calling out his mom and wife. Finally, Bam showed a true break from reality when he asked Dr. Phil to come in and fix it all. Well it turns out Dr. Phil heard the call for him to get some attention. Dr. Phil met with Bam and his family and he is now on his way to rehab. You know Dr. Drew is fuming he didn’t get that call.
Bam Margera’s public plea for help from Dr. Phil worked — TMZ has learned they’re on set right now getting ready for a one-on-one session … then it might be off to rehab.
Our Dr. Phil sources say the good doc has agreed to meet with Bam and tackle his issues head-on — just the 2 of them — with no studio audience. It’s being shot in the green room.
Based on what we know, it’s likely the “Jackass” star will be urged on to a rehab facility afterward to get his life in order.
Bam has been in a bad way for a while now, so I am happy he’s getting help even if it took a mustached charlatan TV doctor to convince him to go. Whatever works, I guess. Not all interventionist can have the charm and good looks of Jeff VanVonderen or Candy Finnigan.
And of course Dr. Phil will be airing this mess.
Our Dr. Phil sources tell us the 1-on-1 session with Bam will be filmed and will air next month when the new season premieres.
We’re told, over 17 seasons of the show, “Dr. Phil” has spent $32 million on aftercare for guests … and it’s pretty clear Bam needs it too.
Again, signing a deal with the devil might be less problematic than signing a deal with Dr. Phil, but lord knows Bam needs the help. Bam has been pretty shitty to a lot of people over the years. He ruined a a bunch of paintings in a hotel in Brisbane, got beat over the head with a bat for allegedly using the n-word, and berates his mom and wife on the regular. He makes it hard to root for, even if he’s willing to eat a barf sandwich, take a hammer to his nuts, and take a bubble bath in a Port-A-Potty or whatever they’ll do on season 56 of Jackass.
