Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, And Selena Gomez May Have Collaborated On A Song Together

Taylor Swift’s upcoming album is called Lover, and it seems like part of this new era involves reinventing herself from the girl who laughs into her lunch when you ask to sit at her cafeteria table, to a cookie-pushing bundle of rainbow-colored hugs in a LOVE IS LOVE t-shirt. Taylor is such a lover now, she reportedly brought together Katy Perry and Selena Gomez for a song on her album. And if you have even the shallowest gossip knowledge about those three, then you know this sounds awkward as hell.

Taylor has been hosting secret listening parties for a handful of her fans in anticipation of the release of Lover. The first listening party was reportedly held in London on Friday, and one of the fans in attendance allegedly spilled the following detail to a Taylor Swift fan account.

Katy teased a possible collaboration between herself and Taylor back in June, and it seemed like she had been teasing her appearance in Taylor’s video. But as it turns out, she might have been hinting at the song they recorded.

So somewhere in between songs about her boyfriend Joe Alwyn and Taylor’s recent discovery of the term “Yaaas kween,” the voices of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Selena Gomez sing about girl power. This is possibly a bigger stunt than the big reveal at the end of the video for You Need To Calm Down in which Taylor is seen wrapping her arms around Katy in a shockingly non-violent way.

Taylor declared Katy was officially dead to her in the song Bad Blood, the video of which starred Taylor (and her collection of temporary best friends) going to battle against an evil two-timing bitch played by Selena Gomez. Selena was once caught kissing Orlando Bloom while he was still allegedly with Katy Perry. Taylor has also made it her part-time job to hate on Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. So, awkwardness all around.

Of course, that fan could be telling tales, and there is no song between Taylor, Katy, and Selena. We might have to wait until Lover is released to find out. But I want to know what kind of women’s empowerment message they delivered in that song, because honestly, I don’t know if I can picture a girl power anthem. There’s enough history there for a song called I Will Tolerate You When I See You At The Grammys. Maybe also a song called We All Agree (That Justin Bieber Sucks).
