Open Post: Hosted By The Brazilian Gang Leader Who Tried To Bust Out Of Prison Dressed As His Daughter

A Brazilian gang leader tried to bust out of prison by dressing up as his 19-year-old daughter, thinking he could just walk out of there. This gang leader has obviously seen Mrs. Doubtfire too many times but never caught on to the fact that it takes hours in a make up chair to become a human woman, not 30 seconds in a jail cell with a busted ass wig and a nightmare-inducing silicone masking mask.

This father of the year also left his daughter behind to fend for herself in his prison cell. Not the best parenting move but it did make me feel better about letting my kids watch their third hour of Captain Underpants this morning while eating popsicles for breakfast.

According to BuzzFeed News:

A gang leader in Brazil failed in a bid to escape jail disguised as his 19-year-old daughter.

Officials released photos showing Clauvino da Silva wearing a silicone mask, a long wig, glasses, jeans and a pink T-shirt with donuts on it after being caught out. His escape attempt was thwarted when prison guards saw him acting nervously, the Associated Press reported.

In a video also released by Rio de Janeiro’s State Secretary of Prison Administration, da Silva takes off the disguise and some of the clothes before saying his real name.

And because god is good and Twitter can sometimes provide us with something useful, there is video of him taking off his masterful disguise.

This isn’t the first time the gang leader escaped prison, he also snuck out through the sewer in 2013 . I can’t believe that worked! Haven’t any of these prison workers/builders seen Shawshank Redemption? I’m actually looking forward to see how he tries to pull off his next escape. Hopefully he’s seen Weekend at Bernies.

The 42-year-old, also known as Baixinho, or “Shorty,” is serving a 73-year sentence for drug trafficking.

He previously escaped Rio’s Gericinó prison in 2013, Brazil’s Globo reported, after fleeing the jail through the sewer. This time the plan was just to walk out through the main door, and leave his daughter in his cell.

Let’s hope the daughter won’t get in too much trouble as we all do weird shit for our parents. I’ve never brought a silicone mask and get-away-disguise into prison for my dad, but I did help my divorced dad set up his a Tinder account which probably felt just as strange.
