Alabama Barker, 13, Forgave Echosmith’s Graham Sierota, 20, For Creeping On Her

In yet another case for restricting social media to the 21 and over because too much not right shit goes down when underage kids drink vodka as does when they have Snapchat or what have you, Graham Sierota of Echosmith, 20, was called out by Alabama Barker, 13 and her dad, Blink-182 drummer Travis Baker, for hitting on her in her DMis. People reports that Alabama has now publicly forgiven Graham, and Graham’s family is blaming his behavior on his supposedly being on the autism spectrum.

To recap, it turns out that Graham has been messaging Alabama since she was 10 and he was 17. She rebuffed his messages a couple of times, but he didn’t take the hint and invited her to a BBQ. That’s when Alabama called him out publicly and supplied some screenshot receipts. Her dad also blasted him. Graham issued an apology claiming he didn’t know her age. The Barker family sounds like they’re the forgiving sort due to the Instagram Story that Alabama posted on Friday.

Alabama’s forgiveness could also be the result of a statement released by Graham’s family to Just Jared explaining that his actions could be the result of his issues with social cues due to having autism.

“We have never publicly addressed this in the past, but given the events of the last few days, we feel compelled to speak out now to offer some additional context and insight into the unfortunate misunderstandings that occurred and clear up the deeply hurtful mischaracterizations of Graham,” the Sierota family said in a statement to Just Jared.

The Sierotas went on to explain why their son was seemingly hitting on a 13-year-old.

As a child, Graham was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has difficulty understanding social cues.

We understand that his interactions were misinterpreted and misunderstood in the confusing world of social media, and we are deeply sorry. Graham certainly never meant to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

As a family, we will continue to work with him to have the right tools and knowledge about social boundaries, and to better navigate and utilize social media while he takes a break from it.

We hope anyone who’s been affected, and in turn felt uncomfortable, can accept our deepest apologies.

Alluding to the underaged girl BBQ invite, the Siarotas mentioned an incident where a whole bunch of uninvited “athletes, musicians, artists, and models” showed up to their holiday party and they were puzzled until they found out their son is also the rock star version of Kris Kringle.

We were very confused until they happily told us ‘Graham reached out on social media and invited us!’ Anyone who has ever met Graham will agree, he is the friendliest and most kind-hearted, welcoming person in the world.

So, all’s well that ends well. That is, until a whole bunch of pedos start blaming “autism” on trying to get with the nation’s children and the Autism Speaks headquarters is beset by angry villagers bearing pitchforks and torches. *sad-face*
