According to TMZ, preparations are underway for the marriage of Nicki Minaj to Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, the last man on Earth (that’s why she’s with a convicted sex offender and murderer, I’m guessing). Nick got her marriage certificate in order, and apparently she’s decided that she won’t just be marrying Zoo, but legally taking his name too.
Sources tell TMZ that Nicki and Zoo went to a Beverly Hills courthouse earlier this week to get a marriage license. Nicki said last month on her radio show that she already got a marriage license, so who knows what’s going on. Maybe Nicki needed a new license, because she accidentally spilled Myx Moscato on the first one. The sources say that when Nicki and Zoo filled out their marriage license, the name Nicki will write on her line will reportedly read: Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty. That’s Nicki’s real name, plus Zoo’s last name.
TMZ also seems to think there’s a possibility that Nicki and Zoo have already gotten married. Sources say that several of Nicki’s friends flew into Los Angeles on Tuesday, the day after Nicki reportedly picked up that marriage license. They all reportedly stayed at two fancy hotels in West Hollywood, and flew out the next day. TMZ thinks that Nicki might have been throwing people off by announcing she got her marriage license last month. She also hasn’t said anything about a possible wedding, but she did tweet that everyone should get up and do the things they’ve been putting off. Like a wedding? No, she probably means cleaning out the fridge or something.
How y’all doin today? Where there’s life there’s hope. Get up & do all those things you’ve been putting off. You deserve it! As we enter a new month, go harder than you’ve ever gone & watch what happens. 🦄♥️

But if she hadn’t gotten married a few days ago, there’s also a chance she might be getting married this weekend. TMZ notes that her very good friend Lil Wayne has a few days off from his tour with Blink-182, and sources say he plans on being in Los Angeles Saturday and Sunday.
It’s never a great idea for a famous person to legally change their name when there’s a chance they’ll be changing it right back again someday. Angelina Jolie and the Courteney Cox Arquette episodes of Friends could tell you that. But Nicki probably won’t be changing her professional name too. Although it would be very on brand for her if she did start going by Nicki Minaj-Petty. Because then when someone asks her how she’s able to hold onto a tired grudge for so long, she can respond: “What can I say? I’m Petty.”
