Tituss Burgess Called Andy Cohen A “Messy Queen” After Appearing On “Watch What Happens Live!”

Watching the short clips from Tituss Burgess‘ appearance on Watch What Happens Live! do not really give me insight into what Andy Cohen did that Tituss is not into, but whatever it is: he hates it. After appearing on WWHL, Tituss posted some commentary about Andy to his Instagram account and it was not glowing…

People reports that Andy done pissed off Tituss. While on Watch What Happens Live!, Andy asked Tituss about working with Eddie Murphy in the upcoming movie Dolemite Is My Name. Andy, I guess wanted to get political, and so he steered the conversation toward Eddie’s problematic past with the gays (Eddie made a bunch of AIDS jokes in the 80s–and apologized in 1996). Tituss, and Laverne Cox, who was the other guest, agreed Eddie was not on their radar. Tituss then replied:

“He wasn’t problematic for Tituss, and we had a wonderful time … Any troubles he may have had with gay people I guess are gone because he loved me.”

AND THEN, Tituss mouths something to someone off-camera, and points at Andy. Then Andy is like, what’s happening and Tituss says to Andy:

“Keep going, girl. Do your show.”

Kathy Griffin just reached the seventh rung of Nirvana and then floated back down to her body. That’s her ringtone. Here’s video:

Then Tituss got on Instagram and said all this:

“She can be a messy queen! Yes I said it! Don’t care he knows either! He should remember his talk show ins’t an episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta! It’s a place where artists come to talk about art and have a little fun. NOT a place to rehash old rumors or bring a star negative press.”

I have to interrupt Tituss because WTF is he talking about? Andy Cohen? Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live!? He must be talking about Barbara Walters‘ Watch What Happens Live!–because Andy’s absolutely is a place to rehash old rumors and shit talk. I think it says it over the doorway: “Ye Shall Gossyp Here.” Anyway back to Tituss:

“Sunday was a display of ratchet behavior by a well connected man having blatant disregard for one of his guests. If only time were taken to know who I am and not assuming that I am the character I play on tv he would know hot to conduct a proper interview with at all! I received 4 Emmy nominations for acting! NOT for being my self. He was lucky I had my wits and Christian values THAT day. Always keep it classy. Being friends with other talented celebrities doesn’t make you talented it makes you friends with other famous celebrities! He should rip a page from Anderson Cooper and learn how to do his job.”

I think Tituss is on Team Lil Kim and is confused with who Andy Cohen is and purports himself to be, because I don’t think Andy thinks he’s Anderson Cooper–I think he knows he’s the shirt stirrer who interviews drunk Housewives, and Anderson is the serious one who rescues children.

On his Sirius Radio show, Andy talked about Tituss:

“He wasn’t having me. What can I tell you? From the jump. I was trying, but no idea… He ran out of there. Did not sign the guest book–he ran out. He was like, ‘He knows I was here.’ That’s what he said to the person who asks to sign the guest book. It was something else, alright… I think that was the first moment that he was pissed, I said, ‘Oh, you wrote the musical for The Preacher’s Wife’. And then I said, ‘I didn’t know that, that’s a great idea.’ And he said, ‘You talked about it two other times on this show!’ And I was like, ‘Ugh oh…’ I think that was the first point… I’ve done 1300 episodes. Forgive me for forgetting you wrote the musical about The Preacher’s Wife. By the way, I still think it’s a great idea. I’m still excited to talk about it. I was being supportive. But yes, I had forgotten. I’m sorry that I forgot your upcoming project. I know I shouldn’t have forgotten. I like the guy. I ran into him at a bar in Harlem like, eight months ago, and we had a really nice talk. So I don’t know.”

And of course, since Andy is a “messy queen” he 100% still enjoyed the show and is fully aware Tituss hates his ass:

“He made an entertaining show, I’ll tell you that. Sometimes it’s fun to watch the show when the guest hates the host.”

Yes it is, Andy. You should do it more often. While you’re on this line of thinking, you should invite Kathy and Tituss on at the same time, so they can tag team drag you for my entertainment.
