Cardi B Gets Real Political By Sitting Down With Bernie Sanders
Cardi B has been dipping her toe into the political spectrum for a little while now. Previously she went off on the government shutdown when she let us know about how the people in charge needed to get their shit together. While the government is no longer shut down, the message to get shit together still stands–and so Cardi B has decided to really take a step further towards bettering our society. Recently, she sat down with Democratic Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders to talk politics, because that’s where we’re at now. Why not? Like, we may as well?
CNN reports that Cardi has decided to wade all the way into politics. Taylor Swift, who? Cardi B is going to save the Democratic party! Cardi posted to Instagram revealing that she had sat down with Bernie Sanders to discuss the future of America. The two filmed a campaign video aimed at reaching out to younger voters. The fact that it’s actually true that Cardi B will affect more people politically than Bernie Sanders alone really hurts my heart, but beggars can’t be choosers, you know?
CNN says that Bernie S and Cardi B talked about a lot of important stuff, like student debt, climate change, and the minimum wage. Which I think is funny because Cardi B ain’t making minimum wage anymore. But I guess she does know the struggle…
Here’s Cardi’s political message:
“Not me, US. Thank you Senator Bernie Sanders for sitting with me and sharing your plans on how you will change this country. A couple of weeks ago I asked my followers if you had the opportunity to have a question answered by a democratic candidate what would it be? So this is full circle for Cardi, I guess? But she’s gonna have to be paying a lot more taxes if Bernie Sanders becomes President, you know he loves taxing those rich folk. But Cardi is good with it:
