Ariana Grande Is Catching A Twitter Dragging After Comments She Made About JonBenet Ramsey

We all know that Ariana Grande tends to say and do stupid shit. It’s almost a guarantee that at some point during the year she’s going to piss somebody off, yet this time she’s probably even surprised herself. During a brief moment of sheer insanity, she and her BFF Doug Middlebrook decided to have a quick giggle in front of everyone about JonBenet Ramsey and decided that a JonBenet costume would be the perfect Halloween costume.
Popcrush reports it all started when Doug decided to pay homage to little JonBenet by revealing a very creepy statistic that most of us had probably forgotten. And it’s the type of honor that most thirsty hoes of the digital age would probably love to have as a part of their resume, which is really sad when you think about it.
Over the weekend, the pop star’s best friend Doug Middlebrook posted an Instagram photo of a magazine with the child beauty queen on the cover alongside the caption, “No one has done more covers.”
That post caught Ariana’s attention and she decided to comment on it. Yet she didn’t say something profound like “OMG So Sad” or “Why the fuck did you post this weirdo?” Instead she decided it was time to make the JonBenet Ramsey costume a thing by commenting, “I can’t WAIT for this to be your Halloween look“, and Doug gave her the thumbs up by agreeing with, “Working on it already“. One Twitter user immediately called her and Doug out.
Wait WHAT?? an 8-year-old girl who was violently killed, strangled and suffocated cannot be anyone’s costume… pic.twitter.com/MwaAXavyBE

Apparently, after a day or two to think about how tasteless the joke was Ariana commented directly to twitter user @ivanmoratroya by expressing her regret, which was more than likely prompted by the backlash she received.
@ivanmoratroya yeah no i deleted it very quickly and understand that it’s not at all funny. this was out of pocket and i sincerely apologize.

Twitter users threw Ariana all the side-eyes in the world because they don’t believe her apology is genuine.
no baby that comment was up for a day and you’re just now apologizing because you got called out. this ain’t it sis. r u good?

ok but making a joke about a child being murdered isn’t just “out of pocket,” its fucking disgusting. i get that dark humour is a thing, but literally MAKING JOKES about a child who got her own life taken away at such a young age is just plain vile. i’m sorry ariana but 😕

People are also calling Ariana out over the joke and reminding her that children were among the fatalities of the terrorist attack from her concert two years ago in Manchester so they think her joke about JonBenet is just in bad taste all around.
And as for Doug, he took down the original Instagram post, so I guess he got the message loud and clear and isn’t going to be JonBenet for Halloween after all. But watch Doug and Ariana show up to a Halloween party dressed like Burke Ramsey and a bowl of pineapple.
