Everyone knows Bette Midler bites her tongue as much as a toddler with no teeth. She says what she wants and doesn’t give a damn what you or anyone else thinks (see: THIS and THIS.) Bette’s Twitter behavior may have landed her in hot water with recent comments she made regarding a photo showing a few black men at a rally for grumpy White House Muppet Donald Trump. But honestly the backlash hasn’t been coming from a multitude of social media users calling for Bette’s head on a platter. One of her loudest critics comes in the form of former Trump supporter Kirstie Alley.
One thing is clear, Bette Midler does not like Donald Trump at all. And if there was ever an impeachment, she’d probably be at the front gates doing the Can-Can while singing ‘NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye. Until then, Bette likes to talk a lot of shit about Trump on her Twitter page and she’s got enough smoke to go around for everyone, including his supporters. People reports that this one time, though, she may have crossed the line. In a recent tweet, she asked this question about a group of black men who were at a Trump rally lending their support.
Look, there are African American men in this shot! How much did he pay them to be “blackground”? pic.twitter.com/pTkoHTIpQl

As a black man who doesn’t support Trump “blackground” is funny to me, but Bette, you know you can’t be making these types of jokes if you ain’t black. Especially in these heightened times we’re living in today. Because people, mainly Trump supporters, imitated their Commander and Thief by engaging in his favorite pastime when they started airing Bette out on Twitter with their anger.
Finally showing your true colors, huh Bette?@RealCandaceO @DiamondandSilk @w_terrence @latinos4Trump @UncleSamsChild @DeplorableChoir @usminority @ScottPresler @ScottBaio @RealJamesWoods @JohnJamesMI pic.twitter.com/U7e5aXI99e

That’s not acceptable for anyone to say or think. #Disgusting
Take this tweet down. #RacistBetteMidler

This is when Kirstie decided to get in on the action because she also had some choice words for Bette.
This is one of the most racist, degrading “jokes” I’ve seen on Twitter & that’s saying a lot. We get it Bette, you hate Trump & that’s your right but to imply Black men have to be PAID to celebrate their OWN political views is pure and REAL racism. And “BLACKGROUND”?? WTF??!! https://t.co/7PXH75tf8i

Kirstie, go sit your ass down somewhere because you jumped off the Trump train fifteen seconds ago. Now, was what Bette said racist? I’m not even touching that one. Because the bigger question here is why are there black people at a damn Trump rally? And as far as Bette’s response:
Dear @realDonaldTrump, followers & troll/bots. I would like to introduce you to some people of real creativity, because your trolling rhetoric is #BoringAF. Let Ma Midler know what you are so desperately trying to express in the comments, & I will make the intros.xoBette #BeBette

And Kirstie Alley got owned by a curler, a fucking curler, so she shouldn’t even try it with these Twitter fights.
