Tyra Banks Is Discussing Her Old Feud With Naomi Campbell, Again.

Oh my God it’s 1990-whatever once again now that the Cyclops of Smize Tyra Banks is pulling out her shovel and digging up the feud she once had with Naomi Campbell back in the day. I was under the impression that once a beef was squashed it went away. But not with Tyra. Because she has more details to share with everyone and they all break down to this one truth: Naomi hated her guts.

I know what you’re all thinking “Didn’t she address this shit like fifteen years ago on that damn talk show?” and you are absolutely correct! It was no secret that two of the most famous black supermodels in the world didn’t get along for years, but once Tyra had an opportunity to make things right, she invited Naomi onto her talk show Tyra (better known as The ME Hour with Tyra Banks) to discuss their feud. And during their discussion Tyra whined while Naomi wore an expression of “Bitch, can we just move on please?”

Fast forward to 2019 and Tyra is once again re-examining she and Naomi’s feud. In an recent interview with the Wall Street Journal (via People) Tyra wanted to remind everyone about how Naomi’s death glares gave her nightmares, though she would never consider it anything more than a feud.

“It wasn’t a rivalry,” Banks told the Wall Street Journal. “And I’m very sensitive to that word because a rivalry is with two equals to me, where one was very dominant. She was a supermodel and I was just some new girl that got on a plane from Paris and was studying fashion in magazines at a fashion library.”

Tyra has since gone onto become one of the most successful media moguls in the world, but apparently her time bobbing and weaving from the mere threat of having to dodge one of Naomi’s cell phones still haunts her. But she has a better understanding of where Naomi’s behavior came from.

“I didn’t understand that as a young girl, like why is she doing this? This is so evil. This is so awful. The adult me understands that she was reacting to an industry that was all about a token. When I came on the scene, ‘Naomi look out, there’s another Black girl that’s going to take your spot.’”

Naomi does look like the kind of chick who will protect her checks at any cost. But I thought this was all in the past? Perhaps the two of them need couple’s therapy, but that wouldn’t work. Tyra would probably spend the entire hour cutting the therapist off while Naomi kept one hand on her phone just in case she needs something to throw.
