Ariana Grande Has Something To Say After One Of Her Favorite Photographers Is Accused Of Being A Massive Creep
According to ELLE magazine, the Instagram set allegedly has their own version of Terry Richardson, and it’s Marcus Hyde. Marcus is a photographer who is a favorite of Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian, but he was recently exposed online by fashion industry whistle blowers Diet Prada as being an alleged camera-wielding ball of yuck. It’s a mess that Ariana clearly doesn’t want her name attached to, and it looks like she’s doing what she can to sever any ties to Marcus.
Marcus has photographed many aspiring models, but he’s also Kim Kardashian’s personal photographer. Last year Kim and Kanye West donated $25,000 to Marcus after he was involved in a near-fatal car accident. Marcus has shot many of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters as well.

As for Ariana’s connection to Marcus, she has been photographed by him in the past, and also developed the type of relationship where she publicly prayed for his recovery after his accident.
Diet Prada posted several screen grabs yesterday from a Los Angeles model named Sunnaya who claimed to have had the following conversation with Marcus. She responded to an Instagram story asking for new models. When she contacted him, he allegedly claimed he wouldn’t charge her for the photos if she modeled nude and sent nudes to him before hand. When she refused to send nudes, he allegedly told her it would cost her $2,000 to work with him. When she called him out, he allegedly told her to “Suck a big fat dick.”
Diet Prada has been posting screen grabs to their Instagram stories featuring other models confessing their alleged experiences on photo shoots with Marcus, the stories of which range from creepy to downright predatory. Diet Prada noted that after publishing the alleged stories, it appeared someone was going through Marcus’ Instagram page and deleting posts (possibly incriminating ones). That must have been just too much work, because as of right now, Marcus’ Instagram page doesn’t exist.
Because one of the biggest names getting dragged into this was Ariana’s, she released a statement in an Instagram story. She doesn’t name Marcus by name, but anyone who was following Diet Prada’s impromptu exposé could put two and two together pretty easily. According to ELLE, Ariana wrote:
“Dear models/artists in LA/anywhere,
I have just read some shocking and really heartbreaking stories. I hate that this is a conversation. But. Please do not shoot with photographers who make you uncomfortable or make you feel like you need to take off our clothing off if you don’t want to. If you want to, sick. But if you don’t, please don’t. If they tell you you have to pay more money if you’re clothed that’s fucked and I’m sorry that has happened to you. I promise there are so many respectful, nice, talented photographers out there.
I hate hearing about things like this. I am sorry that that was anybody’s experience and know that it doesn’t have to be. Look out for one another. Tag your friends on posts of other photographers who’s work you like and have had positive experiences with and help each other get connected.”
She ended by thanking a few photographers she’d had good working experiences with.
None of the Kardashians or Jenners have released any kind of comment about this situation with Terry Jr., but I’m sure one is coming. At least after its edited thoroughly to make sure a statement like this isn’t released:
“We have just heard the alleged news about Marcus Hyde. Normally we’re all too happy to cozy up to a human bag of trash, but the internet has cancelled Marcus, which means it’s not a good look PR-wise to keep working with him. And we’re all just so devastated. Like, do you know how long it’s going to take us to re-train a new personal photographer to heavily edit our faces and asses into that of literal living cartoon characters?”
