R. Kelly Is Relieved To Be In Solitary Because He’s Afraid Of What Would Happen To Him In General Population

Now that R. Kelly has been denied bail and will be spending a lot of time in jail until he will face trial in his sex crimes case, he’s realizing that he needs to figure out jail. And he’s quickly figured out that alleged child abusers aren’t exactly going to win Miss Congeniality in the cell block pageant.  If you’ve ever watched an episode of Law & Order: SVU you know that those cops lets the molesters know that they won’t do well in prison, so they should cut a deal. Well, looks like Olivia Benson had a chat with R. Kelly because he apparently thinks that solitary confinement is the way to go.

Since R. Kelly’s charges have to do with sexual abuse against minors and child porn, he’s worried. People in jail don’t care if you sexually batter women, but do something to a child and that’s a step too far. TMZ reports that R. Kelly now fears retaliation from his fellow inmates who will no doubt know that he’s in there because he likes to allegedly do very gross things with underage girls on camera. His attorney, Nicole Blank Becker, said that in a visit with R. Kelly, he let her know that being in solitary was better because he thinks his “life would be in real danger” if he were put with the rest of the prisoners.

His lawyers are like “uhhhhh?” about it though, because he can’t read or write despite being incredibly rich and famous and 52-years-old. So you know who’s problem that is? R. Kelly’s, because his lawyers realize that if he’s in solitary he won’t even be able to read the commissary list. He’ll also only be allowed 15 minutes on the phone a month in solitary, as opposed to having access to a phone all the time in gen pop.

I won’t cry over R. Kelly being alone with himself in solitary confinement and I never wished for yet another chapter of Trapped In The Closet, but I don’t mind this reboot called Trapped In The Cell. Although, that does sound like HELL because imagine being stuck in a little concrete room with nobody but R. Kelly.
