Kathy Griffin Still Isn’t Friends With Anderson Cooper, Still Really Doesn’t Like Andy Cohen

Kathy Griffin used to be friends with Andy Cohen, and she used to be friends with Anderson Cooper. But unlike some messy celebrity friendship feuds, this doesn’t look like it’s going to resolve itself any time soon.

They were all friends until Kathy posted a picture of a decapitated Trump mask. Anderson quickly realized his friendship with Kathy had evolved from boozy fun on New Year’s Eve to a public relations nightmare, and he ran in the opposite direction, with Andy following close behind yelling, “Wait for me, and save me a NYE party hat!” Kathy has spoken about how sad she is that Anderson has gone from a friend to a stranger. Kathy recently sat down with People to promote her new concert film, A Hell of a Story, and she let all her feelings out about AC Squared.

Kathy was asked what it would take for her to be friends with Anderson again. According to Kathy, it’s a two-way street neither of them are probably that interested in traveling down.

“I don’t think he’s that kind of guy. I just don’t think he’s wired that way. Jeff Zucker, he was my boss at NBC and then when I was at CNN…I just thing Jeff and Anderson aren’t those type of guys. I don’t think [Anderson] really has any interest in [making up]. And after going through something like this, I’m done chasing people. I’m down to three friends on a good day.”

She then elaborated on Anderson’s enthusiasm (or lack thereof) for reconciliation, and she says: “I don’t know about in general, but I would say with me, it’s not probably going to happen.” And when asked about where Andy Cohen fits into any kind of friendship make-up scenario, she says:

“Andy Cohen treated me like a dog. He was one of the worst bosses I’ve ever had. And also, you know, the guy decides the entire slate at Bravo, and yet he gave himself a talk show that magically gets renewed every year. I had a talk show at Bravo for two years, and then that got cancelled. And I thought, yeah – in a way, I’m sure it’s sort of competition for Andy. He has not been very kind.”

This isn’t the first time Kathy has claimed that Andy treated her like a dog. It really brings it all home that Kathy hates Andy. With that being said, she should team up with another vocal Andy hater and go on a tour called Kath & Lil’ Kim.

Watch What Happens Live doesn’t exactly get crap reviews, so the magic to it not getting cancelled might actually just be that people watch it. Anderson might be too classy to respond to Kathy’s latest comments, but Andy certainly isn’t. Andy probably has a boner just thinking about how he can drag Kathy live from the clubhouse. He’ll probably bitchily mention that he would never treat Kathy like a dog, because he actually likes his dog.
