TVTonight reports that Lindsay Lohan done got herself a new gig. And it pays! Yacht girl season is ending early for LiLo, because she’s been selected to be a judge on the Australian version of The Masked Singer and I can’t wait for her to not know who a single one of the people on the show are because do you think Lindsay Lohan knows Australian C-list celebrities? Do you think Lindsay Lohan will recognize the Australian version of Tori Spelling?
Lindsay Lohan really hit the pavement running after her MTV show was cancelled and her Beach Club
closed down relocated. Sure she got her record deal, but with the way Lindsay Lohan is accustomed to living, one record deal won’t sustain her expensive tastes for too long. So she had to do something else. Enter: The Masked Singer.
In a strange, but also like I kind-of get it-move, Lindsay has been selected to join the panel of judges who will guess the celebrity singing from behind an ornate plushie mask. Lindz will join Dannii Minogue, Jackie O and Dave Hughes. I bet you maybe know who Dannii Minogue is and you only do because of her sister Kylie Minogue, amirite? And no, Jackie O is not the ghost of JFK’s wife.
All four of the judges made statements about being excited to do the show:
Lindsay: “The show has already been a huge success and I can only imagine it will get bigger. Each week will be so exciting to watch who performs and try and guess who’s behind the masks. I feel honoured to sit on the panel and be a part of such an amazing show.”
Dannii: “The Masked Singer is an incredible show that already has fans around the world. I love the music, drama of the costumes, the fun of guessing the performers, and most of all the tension when the performer is revealed. It is the first singing show that is voted on performance alone, till the very end. There is so much secrecy about the performers, that I think this show will be a hot ticket–my friends are already trying to get an audience seat!”
Jackie O: “I was really excited by the concept, it’s so unique and like nothing we’ve seen on Australian TV before. I love that everyone can play along at home trying to guess which celebrities are under the mask. I’m also excited for my daughter to see it, she will love it.”
Dave: “Never has the phrase ‘thorn between the roses’ been more apt. I will attempt to give the common man’s view while sitting amongst these goddesses.”
