DJ Spinderella Is Now Suing Salt-N-Pepa For Scamming Her Out Of Back Pay

If Salt-N-Pepa thought they would be seasoning their own bank accounts with ex-member DJ Spinderella‘s piece of their massive fortune, they better think again! Because even though they gave Spin her walking papers late last year, they allegedly didn’t want to part with the cash they owed her. Well, I guess they thought Spin would just accept it and fade off into the background. But instead, she’s decided to hire a lawyer and take those deceptive broads to court! And she has accused them of scamming her out of money for years.

It was bad enough that Spin (government name: Deidra Roper) was thrown out of the group after three decades because of constant bickering with fellow members Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton. But to then find out that they were allegedly playing the Scrooge McDuck role with her coins is just wrong. TMZ reports that Spin is not the one when it comes to Salt and Pepa trying to fleece her out of her coins. She is now suing both of them for millions of dollars that she’s been denied for the last decade since they released a “Best Of” album back in 1999. Spin was promised one-third of the royalties from the album’s sales, totaling $125,000. But much like another megahit from Salt-N-Pepa, that never happened. And that’s just one part of the story.

Spin says she also got cheated when Salt-N-Pepa excluded her from a VH1 TV show based on the group’s rise to stardom. In the suit, she says she was promised one third of the group’s fee for the show — and even though she got an occasional guest spot, she got way less than one-third.

AND there’s even more to this buffet of bullshit. Apparentlyl as Salt and Pepa did their best drunk auntie at the cookout impression during the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, they walked away with tons of cash to spend on Icy Hot for their aching joints while Spin walked away with NOTHING. And finally, TMZ also reports that over the past decade, Salt and Pepa have racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars in royalties and paid Spin a grand total of NOTHING! Do you see the theme here?

But Spin isn’t going to take it anymore. She is suing for fraud and breach of contract as well as trademark infringement because they’re still using her name to promote their shows. I’m not sure what the hell Spin was doing all this time while these two danced away with her money, but if this is true, I hope she gets every dime. And shame on Salt and Pepa for doing Spin this way. When the two of them go bankrupt from this lawsuit and they ask Spin how much money she has, I hope she turns to them and yells, “It’s None Of Yo’ BUSINESS!”, at the top of her lungs.
