Kevin Spacey Has Been Questioned By Scotland Yard About Six Sexual Assault Allegations

Kevin Spacey’s name is back in the news today, and surprise surprise, it has everything to do with being an alleged creep. Which is barely a change from this weekend, when his name was dragged into stories about the alleged creep he was allegedly known to travel with. This one is pure Kevin Spacey, which means it involves the police, allegations, and the feeling to want to fast-forward through the Bob Speck parts the next time you watch Working Girl.
According to People, Scotland Yard detectives have traveled to the U.S. to question Kevin about six separate sexual assault allegations. Scotland Yard would only say that “a man” was “voluntarily interviewed under caution” in the U.S. in May 2019. But the identity of “a man” is totally Kevin Spacey. Scotland Yard says that the investigation has been conducted by the Metropolitan Police of London’s Complex Case Team, which I guess is their version of the Special Victim’s Unit. And now I can’t help but picture Kevin Spacey being investigated by Ice-T with a British accent.
Scotland Yard says that said man was not arrested, but that investigations are still ongoing. Last year it was reported that Scotland Yard was investigating three alleged sexual assaults against Kevin Spacey. All took place while Kevin was the artistic director of the Old Vic theater in London. Six alleged incidents currently being investigated are as follows: One alleged assaulted on a man in 1996 in Westminster, four separate alleged assaults in central London, and one alleged assault in Gloucester. All of this was prompted by an internal investigation by the Old Vic, in which they claim to have received 20 allegations of various levels of inappropriate by Kevin Spacey.
Kevin was investigated by Scotland Yard back in May, which was the same month he was preparing for an appearance in a Nantucket court to deal with allegations on this side of the pond.
Last month, Kevin showed up for a pre-trial court hearing to defend himself against his felony sexual assault charge. Kevin was accused by the son of former Boston WCVB-TV news anchor Heather Unruh, who claimed Kevin repeatedly groped him (then just 18 years old) while he was employed as a busboy at a Nantucket bar in 2016. Kevin pleaded not guilty to that. On Friday, the accuser dropped his civil lawsuit.
Of course, this is all on top of various other alleged accusations, like the lawsuit filed by a massage therapist who accused Kevin of groping. Or the Los Angeles investigation that wasn’t dropped back in September.
Kevin is an American who spent years and years living in London, so he’s familiar with the lingo. But I’m sure there were some terms he wasn’t familiar with when the Complex Case Team sat down and grilled him. Maybe his defender Dame Judi Dench volunteered to translate. But you don’t have to, Judi! A bloke is a boy, a letch is a pervert, and Kevin Spacey is still Kevin Spacey even in a different time zone.
