Jacki Weaver Is Sorry For What She Said About Angelica Huston
The old lady bitch fight between Anjelica Huston and Jacki Weaver has sadly come to end, as 72-year-old Jacki is apologizing for telling 67-year-old Angelica to “she can go fuck herself,” and adding, “I would say she must be going through menopause, but she must have had that ages ago.” Jacki went after Angelica for trashing the movie Poms, which Jacki stars in with Diane Keaton, Pam Grier, and Rhea Perlman. But bad news for anyone who wanted to see Jacki and Angelica go at it in a Metamucil-covered wrestling match, that’s not going to happen.
In case you forgot what Angelica’s first shot sounded like, here you go:
Quite honestly, I’m looking for movies that impress me in some way, that aren’t apologetically humble or humiliating like, “Band of cheerleaders gets back together for one last hurrah,” you know. An old-lady cheerleader movie. I don’t like that kind of thing.
According to Page Six, Jacki apologized to Angelica on the Australian Twitter show AM to DM (clip below):
Jackie Weaver has apologized for her comments about Angelica Huston, saying she doesn’t think the actress is a “shithead.”
Jacki went on to talk about how she was just in a bad mood when she talked shit about Angelica and she didn’t mean what she said:
But, on this week’s Twitter morning show “AM to DM” Weaver admitted, “Sometimes my filter drops, and my filter dropped that day. I just got a bit cross — ‘cross’ being the operative word. I got incensed. I saw red. I lose my temper once a year, and that was it.”Weaver continued, “I do admire Anjelica Huston. I don’t think she’s a shithead. I think she’s a wonderful actress and a really nice woman.”
Hmmm…”A really nice woman” feels like a stretch considering Anjelica started this with her messy comments about Jacki’s movie. And I doubt she loses her temper “once a year” considering how quick she was to tell Anjelica to go fuck herself in an interview.
Either way, I’m just sad this has come to end. I love seeing people of a certain age getting into it. We need a new Joan Crawford/Bette Davis old hollywood fight and the Paris Hilton/Lindsay Lohan fued isn’t cutting it. Though I did appreciate Richard Dreyfuss coming for Bill Murray (side note: In the same interview where Anjelica insulted Jacki, she also co-signed that Bill Murray is a bully).
And where the hell is Betty White in all of this? You know Betty has some thoughts on people (I’m looking at you, Sarah Palin) she’s not sharing. Let’s just hope Anjelica gives another interview ASAP, so this messiness can continue. Or Justin Bieber challenges Jacki Weaver to cage fight soon. You know Jacki would take the offer and destroy him on her annual Lost My Temper Day.
