Todrick Hall Called Scooter Braun Homophobic And Then Fought With Demi Lovato A Little

The Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun thing spiraled quickly. The drama of all dramas among girls and gays aged 13-27 is getting some high-key attention. Not only did we get a Taylor Swift Tumblr op-ed hand-delivered to us with, we have record executives trying to do damage control and getting ratioed-to hell on Twitter (he’s currently at 7,400 comments vs. 4,000 likes so the Swifties are putting those rat emojis to work).
Now Taylor’s token gay best friend, Todrick Hall, is ready to stand up for his girl and he’s throwing around some mighty strong statements–claiming that Scooter is homophobic. Todrick is earning his place as Taylor’s token gay!
After Taylor accused Scooter of basically stealing her masters right out from under her by buying her old record label, Big Machine, Todrick let us know that he’s on Team Taylor, as if we didn’t already know. Todrick apparently used to be represented by Scooter, but that ended and Todrick says that a part of the reason they broke up professionally was because Scooter is homophobic. A homophobic douche-bro who’s most recognized for making Canadian douche-nozzle Justin Bieber famous? Gasp! I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you!
He posted more on Twitter, also clapping at Hailey Baldwin and Yael Cohen–the wives of Justin and Scooter–who came to Scooter’s defense. And he said that Scooter had previously threatened him in the past and he expected he would again after this:
For those asking, I left Scooter Braun a long time ago…I am saddened by this news, but not shocked. He is an evil person who’s only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego. I believe he is homophobic & I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan.

I truly hope justice is served and that my friend’s music will fall into the hands of a better human.

My feelings on scooter summed up in a song I wrote about my experience there. https://t.co/7NMHkquPzQ

Also……..Men sending women in (their wives) to carry out their patriarchal bullshit is the worst form of feminist and human betrayal of all time – looking at you Yael and Hailey

I would normally not say anything because I’m sure scooter will threaten me like he has before to keep me quiet, but guess what Scooter, nothing you can do to me would be worst than the 6 years of my life I can’t get back from when & I was ignored as your “artist”

At this point, Allison Scarinzi who is… I have no idea–someone associated with Scooter, I’m assuming? In his company? Anyway, she tried to call out Todrick saying he was dropped for stealing:
@todrick this is disgusting and defamatory statement. We dropped you after finding out you were stealing from your fans on your Christmas tour. Scooter has been nothing but supportive of all disenfranchised groups. He is against dishonesty. Not those living in their truth.
— Allison K Scarinzi (@AllisonKaye) July 1, 2019
She also said Todrick didn’t pay his workers and put up screenshots of someone complaining about payment. But Todrick had receipts as well.
Welp, I guess they let me go…also I’d like to say this was TWO YEARS after I did the Christmas tour and supposedly stole from my fans 🙄 pic.twitter.com/CEzL7Gluvh

Also, why posting a pic of a call sheet from over a year ago is helpful is curious to me. I have no shame in my hustle and grind to make an entire visual album with no label and no help. It took me 8 months to pay off an 800k project by myself and I’m not ashamed of that.

The fact that your team is online starting lies that don't add up is ridiculous! Good night, I'm going to bed.

Now, here enters Demi Lovato. I know, this drama has everything. Demi hopped into Todrick’s Instagram comments and decided to throw things back to his initial homophobia claims saying that there was no way that Scooter was homophobic because Demi is a member of the LGBTQ community, okay, which means Scooter can’t hate the gays, got it?
“He boo, idk you or anything and this isn’t hate, but making claims that someone is homophobic is really serious. Please don’t spread information that isn’t true because I can guarantee you Scooter isn’t. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, he wouldn’t have signed me if he was. No hate just trying to clear that up.”
I don’t know that the fuck Demi thought she was doing with that statement but she obviously doesn’t always make the best choices. She deleted her comment, but Todrick snatched at her wig anyway:
Dear Demi, first off…why did you delete your tweet? Secondly, I love you and listen to your music religiously, but thirdly, you cannot compare your experience to mine, especially with someone I was with for six years and you've only just signed with.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
PSA, Just because you have a black friend doesn't mean you can't still be racist. And just because you're not picketing against gay marriage doesn't mean you're not homophobic. I said what I said and I believe what I believe.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
Also, stop using your one client who identifies as queer to stand up for you. There's no way Demi saw my tweet, that means someone from your team is reaching out to them, using them to defend you. Fight your own battles.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
Being black and gay in this industry is hard as hell, and was even harder when I signed with that man and unless someone has walked in my shoes…I don't care to compare their experiences to mine. Period!
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
Ok NOW I’m going to sleep, and I realized that Demi commented on insta & doesn’t have Twitter. Also, this is very unfortunate because I LOVE Demi & her music! Been a fan for years. Not trying to start a fight with her because she has nothing to do with it!

This Scooter Braun drama is now harming Todrick Hall’s relationship with Demi Lovato! When will the trauma end?! How will Todrick be able to listen to Sorry, Not Sorry ever again without thinking of Scooter Braun’s homophobia? What a tragedy, Todrick. I’m really sorry… …not sorry! Damn that song is an ear-worm!
