Britney Spears’ Dad Is Suing The Owner Of One Of Her Fansites For Defamation

And this is why the word “allegedly” exists. Because if you are out here talking shit without even the littlest iota of legal coverage? You are open to a lawsuit. And Jamie Spears is ready to give us one. TMZ is saying that because of the #FreeBritney movement, Daddy Spears and people in the conservatorship have seen their lives go to Hell. And now they’re suing mad, bringing a claim against Anthony Elia the creator of the Absolute Britney fansite and an architect of #FreeBritney.

Jamie Spears is suing on behalf of Britney’s conservatorship, saying that Anthony defamed him and the team by claiming they were manipulating Britney’s Instagram accounts to make her look like she needed more mental help.

Britney has been in a bad way since April when she checked into a mental health facility because initially she was dealing with the stress of her dad’s illness. Then next thing you know #FreeBritney was trending and people were saying Britney was worse off than we thought. Her mom got involved, Britney said she wanted her conservatorship to end and that she was having stuff done against her will and an old letter that she allegedly wrote surfaced suddenly. Kevin became the “good parent” for once but it really says something that you’re only the good one when the other is allegedly having a full meltdown. It’s all over the place to be honest, but a judge has ordered an investigation so that will handle that.

In the meantime, Daddy Spears has chosen to focus his ire from this messiness on who he feels is to blame for it. Not him or his team for allegedly over-working Britney at her Vegas residency and failing to notice her mental stamina needed a recharge, but one of her fansites.

Britney’s rep denied that her team screwed with her Instagram comments, and they said they would take “appropriate actions” so I’m guessing this is that. At least when you have to deal with this in court Britney’s mom, Lynne Spears, will agree with you because she thinks that something funny is happening to the positive comments on Britney’s account also.

The lawsuit points out that Anthony made all of these allegations on a “gut feeling”, which is a bit thin since he literally posed the question:

“This has to be a human right’s violation?”

Sources close to the team tell TMZ that because of Anthony’s gut, the people involved in the conservatorship have been receiving death threats. They also say the rumors that Britney isn’t being allowed to drive or use her phone are completely false as is evidenced by photos of her both on the phone and also driving.

I mean, poor Anthony. He’s a Britney Spears stan and now he’s getting sued by her father? I mean, guess that’s kind of cool? Having legal action taken against you by the father of your idol? Right? Kind of? What other stan can say that? You know? It’s definitely unique. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus should expect her own legal papers any day now. She has more money to get at than Anthony for sure.
