A Man Pulled A Gun On His Roommates After They Ate His Food

A Los Angeles man was arrested for pulling a gun on his roommates after they ate his food. And look, I have some sympathy for the guy as there is nothing more disappointing than thinking your favorite Hot Pocket is safely waiting for you in your freezer only to find out some greedy bitch has taken it without asking. That said, pulling out a loaded shot gun feels a teeny tiny overreaction. But this is AMERICA.

According to KTLA:

Collett tried to make peace with Cyrus by making dinner for him with help from their other roommate, 55-year-old Dawn Allen, the Sheriff’s Office said.

This move “was not received well by Cyrus,” the department said. Cyrus allegedly pointed a shotgun at Collett as he asked him and Allen to leave their residence.

I love that they tried to make up for eating his food by cooking something that was “not received well“. Not received well is usually a passive aggressive note on the fridge or a vague Facebook post about a one-sided friendship, not being chased out of the house with a loaded shotgun.

Also, imagine that your cooking is so bad that you get a shotgun to your face? What the hell did this guy make? I wouldn’t want to be this guy’s waiter. He’s probably like, “The steaks a little dry, so I may try to face shoot you.” Hopefully this jewel doesn’t eat out a lot.

Authorities searched the home and found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun in his bedroom, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Cyrus was booked on $10,000 bail.

Deputies determined that his roommates, Collett and Allen, were under the influence of a controlled substance, the Sheriff’s Office said. They were also arrested. They were both cited and released, according to county inmate records.

I’m not a detective, but it sounds like the main course was probably meth with a side of bath salts and that’s why he was so upset. Luckily this story has a happy ending and no one was actually hurt.

Deputies called Cyrus and persuaded him to exit the home unarmed, the Sheriff’s Office said. Officers took him into custody without incident.

Let this be a lesson to all: shotguns, food stealing, and drugs are a bad combo. And if you’re going to try to steal your roommates food, make sure you unload their guns and have a warmed up Hot Pocket waiting for them.
