John Singleton’s Daughter Tried And Failed To Get Restraining Order Against Longtime Family Friend

John Singleton‘s death has been a whirlwind of tragedy and drama. Ever since the news broke that he was in the hospital for a stroke, the darkness just kept on rolling. After being put in a coma, he sadly passed away and people everywhere started to stand up and walk around more on flights after hearing that a 6-hour flight from Costa Rica to Los Angeles may have triggered his stroke. The world is a dangerous place… and it’s even more dangerous when you realize you can’t even trust your friends. John’s family was fighting over money before he died and continued afterwards, and a private investigator was called in to look into the death–which might not have been just a tragic fluke from a bad flight after all. And now, because the drama is never over, John’s daughter, Justice Singleton is trying to get a restraining order from one of his longtime friend’s, Avance Smith.

John Singleton’s family hired a private investigator to look into his death. The main crux of their questions seems to be stemming from the strange gap of time between John getting off the airplane and getting to the hospital which no one can account for. And considering the cause of the stroke was thought to be the plane trip, they want to know who brought him to the hospital and how. The staff all say that he just sort of showed up and so they thought that was weird. Then things continued their trend of bizarre and his mother, Shelia Ward, filed for full control of his estate–claiming someone had broken into John’s office and took what they felt like. Well now we may have a hint as to whom that burglar may be–or at least who his daughter thinks it is.

TMZ says that Justice Singleton has tried and failed to get a restraining order against one Avance Smith. Avance and John go way back–John used to call Avance his “cousin” and Avance worked security for him occasionally. Well Justice don’t trust him and she wants him out.

Documents on the case show that Justice wanted the restraining order placed because she thought Avance was the one who broke into John’s property last week and stole things. She has also accused Avance of threatening her in person and through text message while John was still in a coma in the hospital. She called him “uncontrollable” and Justice said she’s worried he could be physically violent.

Unfortunately for her, a judge disagreed or didn’t find enough evidence because they denied her request for the restraining order. But there is going to be another hearing at the end of the month to determine if Avance actually should get the boot and so I guess they’re doing some more investigating. Well hey, they already have that PI, may as well get the money’s worth.

This is some sad shit. A man dies tragically and then it’s daughter versus “cousin” and mother versus everyone and now there’s an investigator coming in to figure out how a wealthy black man showed up at a hospital groggy in a wheelchair before he died? I mean wow…  Who needs Empire when life is just the same?
