A Man Asked Zendaya Out On A Date During A Q&A For ‘Euphoria’
When you’re shaking your ass on the promotion stroll for your television or movie project, the last thing you’re thinking of is having fun, because you’re basically at work. Yes, it’s work. I think. You have to answer the same questions over and over again and still find the strength to not roll your eyes each time. Some celebs are masters of this art form while others fail miserably every time (looking at you, Lindsay Lohan). However, those celebs should take a page out of Zendaya‘s book because she knows how to keep it classy when being asked silly questions. Even when the question is as random as, “You wanna go out with me??”
Page Six reports that during a panel discussion for her new HBO show Euphoria, Zendaya was answering audience questions when a man named Mikal decided it was time to shoot his shot for the ultimate prize: a date with a woman he only knows through the magic of television. Since she portrays a drug addict on Euphoria, Mikal asked her if she enjoys partaking in a toke of the good shit from time to time. Zendaya answered with a resounding “Heaven’s No!” complete with a clutch of the pearls.
“No, I don’t do any of that, so it was definitely a foreign thing for me,” the 22-year-old answered before he asked her on a date to local ice cream shop Amy’s.
The “Spider-Man: Far From Home” star played it cool and responded, “Yo, if I had time I would, because I love ice cream and I appreciate that.”
A layup, and a miss. Nice try. Better luck next time, right? Not even, because he didn’t stop there. Although Zendaya was gracious with her response, Mikal tried one last time for a game winning three point shot. He asked her if her answer was “no” or a “maybe“. Uh, it’s a NO dude! She’s with Spider-Boy, probably. Still, Zendaya laughed it off with a Stranger Danger twist.
When she said, “We’ll see,” Mikal then offered for her to bring a plus one since she didn’t know him.
Zendaya laughed and told the audience, “We all going,” before the Q&A resumed.
Mikal, you get cool points for trying. But when she said, “I appreciate that“, it was basically time to let that one go. And Zendaya knew what she was doing when she invited the entire audience on their date, because her Spidey senses must have been tingling and ringing like a firetruck siren.
