65-Year-Old Dennis Quaid Is Dating A 26-Year-Old PhD Student
65-year-old Dennis Quaid is getting with 26-year-old graduate student Laura Savoie. Yes, I did the math for you, that’s a 39 year age difference. Other fun math: Laura was born in 1993, graduated high school in 2011, she’s younger than Dennis’ oldest child (who is 27), and yet is still technically too old for Woody Allen.

The couple has been dating for the past few months and were photographed together on May 14 after enjoying a meal at celebrity hotspot Craig’s in West Hollywood, California. It is not clear when the actor split with his longtime girlfriend Santa Auzina, whom he was last photographed with in December.

Dennis was with 32-year-old actress Santa Auzina for a little over three years before they broke up sometime last year and he quickly moved on to a younger piece. Dennis and Santa became a thing after he broke up with his last wife, and the mother of his 11-year-old twins, 46-year-old Kimberly Buffington in 2016.
No one knows the reasons why Dennis and Santa broke up. I guess maybe she just aged out or maybe his brother Randy Quaid convinced him she was a member of the Star Whackers organization. Either way Santa is out and Laura is in. Laura is working on her PhD at the University of Texas at Austin, and she’s also made wonderful decisions like doing Jeremy Piven.
Savoie, who is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, attended undergrad at Pepperdine University, where she was her class’ valedictorian. During her time at the Malibu college, Savoie dated actor Jermey Piven a source tells PEOPLE.
She then went on to receive her master’s at the University of Notre Dame. Savoie is currently working towards her PhD in accounting at the University of Texas at Austin in their McCombs School of Business and expects to graduate in 2021.
Because of all of her academic accomplishments, she sounds pretty smart, and then they drop that casual bomb that she dated mercury fish survior Jeremy Piven. Now I don’t know what to think.

Since they started dating, Savoie hasn’t held back from sharing her happiness and has featured Quaid in several photos on her Instagram, which is currently set to private.
Most recently, the UT Austin student shared a snap of the pair with their arms wrapped around each other and captioned it with, “Never been happier.”
She also revealed that she “loved this man” in a snapshot from May, which featured the couple wearing hats that hid their faces while they shared a waterside kiss.
Okay, after learning she dated Jeremy Piven maybe this is the happiest she’s ever been?! Plus I’m sure dating Randy Quaid’s younger brother has it’s perks. When Randy’s not on the lam in Canada, filing lawsuits against John Kerry or making making sex tapes, I bet he’s a blast to have around the holidays!
