Leslie Jones Is Also Very Mad At Sephora

Yesterday, Sephora closed their 400 US stores for one hour so staff could get some much-needed diversity training after SZA called out a store in Calabasas for racial profiling. SZA claimed an employee called security to make sure she wasn’t stealing anything. It sounds like those diversity day pamphlets weren’t printed off a moment too soon. Because Leslie Jones recently slapped at another Sephora location for allegedly treating her makeup artist like crap.

If Leslie had consulted with her Inner White Girl (Reese Witherspoon), she might have told Leslie to march right down to Sephora and demand to speak to the manager in her most pissed-off PTA mom voice. But Leslie clearly didn’t do that, because her customer service complaint happened Tuesday on Twitter.

Leslie claims she sent her makeup artist, Lola Okanlawon, and her best friend’s wife to a Sephora store on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, so that her best friend’s wife could learn how to apply some makeup. Simple enough, considering that’s kind of what Sephora is all about. That friend’s wife didn’t leave the store with a new Naked palette and some Beauty Blenders, but with tears and sadness.

Sephora has yet to respond to Leslie’s tweet. Maybe it’s because they’re working on a statement that reads: “Chill out Leslie – that was the old Sephora. The new Sephora totally solved racism in an hour.

Or maybe Sephora hasn’t said anything because they realized just how bad of a double fuck-up they pulled. SZA is friends with Rihanna. Lola the MUA works on Leslie Jones and Beyoncé’s Mom. Jessica Alba probably just slid into Sephora’s DMs with a warning. “Having Leslie Jones call you out is one thing, but now you’ve got the Beyhive involved.
