Sometimes it’s hard to tell what a true emergency is and sometimes it’s dead obvious. Like when a Louisiana resident found out that Taco Bell was out of both hard AND soft shells for their tacos and called 911 to report the crime of no taco shells in her belly. I know what you’re thinking, maybe call the non-emergency line instead of 911? Or just write a strongly worded Yelp review. But we don’t know her truth! Maybe she was really hungry and tacos are her favorite and now she’s just suppose to eat cinnamon twists and a taco salad?! This is America. We eat our Taco Bell tacos in shells, not in salad form like the French!
According to Newsweek this crime against humanity took place in Slidell Louisiana;
A customer was so upset upon discovering a branch of Taco Bell had run out of taco shells they called local police to complain about the shortage.
Luckily for the hungry customer, Slidell, Louisiana, police saw the funny side of the call. They recounted the “we can’t make this stuff up” story on social media in a post that has been shared more than 2,100 times as of 4.00 a.m. ET.
Police wrote on Facebook: “Somebody called in to complain that the Taco Bell on Gause Boulevard ran out of both hard and soft taco shells. While this is truly a travesty, the police can’t do anything about this. Hopefully, they are replenished in time for Taco Tuesday!”
Some took this opportunity to let the police know that other Taco Bell crimes have been happening and justice has not been served:
Others poked fun at the fast food company’s supply chain. “Funny, I ran into a guy yesterday complaining that Taco Bell in Pearl River was out of Beef. If only they would have coordinated,” wrote user Sonny Hodgson.
User Betsy Malone added: “They got my order wrong the other day!! I need justice!!”
I’m sure at some point Trump will be informed of this horrific crime as it involves two of his favorite things: Mexico and fast food. (I get that Taco Bell isn’t really Mexican but he doesn’t know that). In his mind, this woman is probably in the running for the Presidential Medal of Freedom due to her quick thinking and bravery.
And let this be a lesson to all of us, we don’t have to live in a world without hard or soft taco shells and if we someone tries to make us then we treat it like the emergency it is.
