A Winking Camilla Stole The Show During Trump’s Visit To The Palace Yesterday
“A Winking Camilla” sounds like something that Prince Charles would ask for on his anniversary. But I mean it literally. Donald Trump is currently in the UK for an official state visit, and even though he lives his life like he’s the most interesting, charismatic person in the room, yesterday that honor went to Duchess Camilla.
After Donald and Melania Trump met Queen Elizabeth II yesterday, the tacky twosome swung by Clarence House to visit with Prince Charles and Camilla. I know people are divided on Camilla. But one thing we can all agree on today is that Camilla appears to be an expert in the art of subtle shade. Trump, Melania, Prince Charles, and Camilla met with press for a quick second, and as they walked out, Camilla turned to reporters and dropped the quote of the day just by dropping one of her eyelids.
"It looks like an ice cream" ??
Prince Charles makes a joke as a photographer's flash drops off their camera as @realDonaldTrump walked into a room at Clarence House.

Yahoo! News says that the internet has been trying to figure out what Camilla meant with that wink. But I think that’s the beauty of it; it can mean whatever you want. Some people have made jokes that it’s a “Blink once if you need help” situation. Personally, I think it’s like the type of “aw, bless their heart” wink one adult gives another adult when a little kid thinks they’re meeting someone so important, like the real Santa Claus. Except in this case, the little kid is a 72-year-old man, and he thinks he’s the important person everyone wants to meet.
Then again, it could have been the tired, twitchy eye kind of wink. Especially since Camilla would have to spend so many more hours with that dumb oaf. Not only him, but four of his dumb children too. Trump brought Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, and Tiffany Trump with him to the Buckingham Palace banquet later that evening. Wait a second. That can’t be right. Tiffany Trump? The child that Trump needs to be reminded of with a series of simple “This Is A…” flashcards carried by Kellyanne Conway? That Tiffany? Holy crap, Tiffany actually got invited to something.

At least Tiffany dressed up for the occasion. Ivanka looks like the airport lost her luggage, and the only thing she could find to wear was an Ivanka Trump-brand shirtdress from whatever London’s version of Big Lots is. You know Duchess Kate was thinking, “I can’t believe I pulled out my best tiara for this.”

At least she didn’t have to worry about getting too close to Trump (Kate walked into the banquet with Steve Mnuchin). The Queen, on the other hand, wasn’t so lucky. She had to walk in with him.

People reports that Trump might have broken royal protocol by putting his hand on the Queen’s back. According to the Royal Family website’s section on meeting the Queen, there are no official codes of conduct, but it states many people “wish to observe traditional forms.” We all know Trump doesn’t read, so there’s no way he would have known that ahead of time. Which would be why he put his little baby hands on the Queen. Ugh, poor her. And her poor royal dry cleaner! Do you know how difficult it must be to get orange self-tanner smears off of white beaded silk?
