Robert Pattinson Is Officially Going To Be Batman
Looks like the people who are working on the next Batman movie, called The Batman, really thought to themselves: “Hmmm, how can we piss off literally every single fan boy who we haven’t already alienated after Ben Affleck?” Well the brainstorming session has been completed and it was a rousing success! After it was rumored that Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult were the last two left for the role, it looks like Warner Bros. has approved RBattz!
Deadline confirms that Warner Bros. has gone ahead and decided that Robert is the right man to put on a black cape and brood while he tries to save a city suffering from intense financial disparity which leads to super-crime in any way possible that doesn’t involve giving away some of his billions towards fixing the broken system.
Apparently, Warner Bros. wanted Robert and Nicholas to do taped auditions, because this was such a big decision for them. These new movies will follow the formative years of Batman (so it will be like the first Christopher Nolan Batman movie, what a refreshing take on a character… not) and so they needed an actor in his early 30s.
Some people are happy about this decision:

But some fanboys are not happy. They were really trying to stop Robert from getting this part, going so far as to create a petition.
And they probably are just going to get more angry since the other rumored casting choice was Vanessa Hudgens as Catwoman. The fanboys are going to get really upset when they realize a plot point of the movie is Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle meeting over holiday vacation and then singing a duet which makes them fall in love, only to be separated until they’re surprisingly reunited when the school year starts up again. Think of all of the petitions. Time should go ahead and just make THE PETITION as their Person of the Year.
