Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Actually Posed Together At The Met Gala Last Night

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes, have spent years dodging the attention surrounding theirAre They Doin’ It?” romance but last night at the Met Gala they gave the people what they wanted (wait, did we want it?) by appearing together for the first time at the Met Gala. Even though it was a bit brief, and Jamie probably spent the night trying to find a side piece to hump on at the after-party.

Us Weekly reports that both Katie and Jamie were dressed by designer Zac Posen who accompanied the both of them to the gala along with a few other stars.

Posen, 38, documented a limo ride to the event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City on his Instagram Stories that showed the Dawson’s Creek alum, 40, and Foxx, 51, dancing and laughing. Though the notoriously private couple didn’t pose together, Holmes’ gorgeous purple dress could be seen draped over the knee of the Robin Hood actor in one snap.

When the pair — who Us Weekly confirmed in March 2015 had already been dating for months — arrived at the event, they opted to walk the red carpet separately with the designer. Holmes, for her part, met up with friends later in the evening, but it was her arrival with Foxx that had Twitter going wild.

Zac also posted a few pics and videos to his Instagram page. Even though Katie and Jamie were sitting on opposite sides on the limo while Nina Dobrev gave the stiffest Lip Sync Battle performance of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” ever.

You see Katie in the background? She may be laughing and playing along but the look in her eyes reads “Bitch sit down, I can’t see my man from here!” Once they arrived Zac took a photo with all of his creations and the celebrities wearing his designs, once again with Katie and Jamie strategically on opposite sides of one another.

And although the two of them stuck to the script of never being up under each other the entire time, there was one moment where the two of them were snapped together.

Something else that made its debut at the Met Gala last night was the neck piece Katie wore with her dress which The Hollywood Reporter claims Zac created with the help of a 3D printer.

For Holmes, Posen created what he calls “a real glamour piece in a Prince purple metallic,” a 3D-printed palm-leaf sculpture that rests on the actress’s shoulders and tops a gown crafted of 300 yards of multicolored tulle. “I wanted to use this tulle almost as a watercolor; there’s a grandeur about it, but you also think about a purple sunset and the shadows created by palm leaves,” Posen explains. “I’m so close with Katie, so it’s truly been a labor of love, combining the accent of this technology and thinking about her personality and her skin tone. And I always love when Mother Nature inspires fashion.”

So, with Katie and Jamie’s official Met Gala debut, does this mean they’ll finally stop acting like they’re not together? Probably not because if they did that they know we’d all stop caring.
