Taylor Swift Donated $113k Toward Fighting Anti-LGBTQ Bills In Tennessee

Taylor Swift went from not being political to saving politics completely and restoring equality to the world! Well, no–but she’s started donating money to things, which is a good first step towards becoming one of those super wealthy people who gets called a “philanthropist” but could also solve the student debt crisis with their five “philanthropist” buddies and some signed checks. It seems that Taylor speaking up during the midterm elections to support a Democrat was not the end of her political career, even though the guy she endorsed lost. Taylor must be pissed about her chosen politician losing the election because now she’s ready to do what it really takes to solve problems: throw money at it.

Billboard is reporting that Tay Tay reached into her purse and pulled out a couple of bucks for the gays. During her endorsement for Phil Bredesen over Republican Marsha Blackburn (AKA: Why Marsha Sucks by Taylor Swift), Taylor mentioned that Marsha’s camp was going to bring anti-LGBTQ hatred to Tennessee. Well she was right.

Taylor may have lost the election fight for the gays, but she’s not going to lose the war, as it’s being reported that she recently donated $113,000 to the Tennessee Equality Project. The TEP has been fighting a bunch of anti-LGBTQ bills in Tennessee like one that allows adoption agencies to discriminate against same-sex couples because of religious beliefs. A different one put bathrooms and locker rooms on a list of public places where a person can be charged with indecent exposure, which people think was done so that transphobes can discriminate against the transgender community. And two different bills put forward will make it Tennessee’s policy to defend marriage as being between one man and one woman.

The TEP showed the hand-written letter Taylor sent them along with her check on their Facebook:

Taylor Swift. Born in 1989. Loves Cats. I don’t love that her customized stationary sounds like an epitaph but I guess it’s supposed to? Whatever, how rich is it that she has customized stationary? For who? Heard of an email?

Along with Taylor being generous and a lover of the gays, it’s also being rumored that she’s in the studio working on new music… with Adele.

Yeah, Hollywood Pipeline reports that highly-talented vocalist who can move you with her lyrics and rich voice, Adele, is getting ready to tear apart boys and yodel with Taylor on some hot tracks.

Apparently Adele was seen going into the Electric Lady recording studio in Manhattan recently. Couple this with the fact that Adele stayed at Taylor’s penthouse for two days and that Adele had some of her recording equipment brought to Taylor’s apartment, and the evidence speaks for itself: Taylor and Adele are about to bring up the meanest boys you’ve ever heard about.

Can’t wait to find out which meany-mean person gets the belt from Taylor and Adele. I just hope that Adele got her recording equipment back from Taylor already because her security is shit.
