Don Lemon Got Engaged

April 7, 2019 / Posted by:

CNN anchor and NYE 2016 Entertainer of the Year Don Lemon (he shared that award with Mimi) announced his engagement to boyfriend Tim Malone in an Instagram post yesterday. Sometimes being openly gay isn’t gay enough so gays have to use their dogs to get gay-engaged in the most sickeningly cute manner possible. Pray for Boomer and Barkley to somehow recover from this humiliation.

Here’s their engagement announcement:

He gave me a present on his birthday. How could I say no?

People reports that Don, 53, shared the same pic on his Instagram Story with the caption “He said Yes!”. Lemon and Malone, a real estate agent, announced the engagement on IG after a birthday dinner for Malone in Manhattan on Friday night.

New Year’s Eve has always been Don’s time to shine. In his memorable performance in New Orleans on New Year’s Eve 2016, a drunk as fuck Don opened up to the audience about how he felt it was time that he got his ass in a relationship. Don’s vision board for 2017 obviously worked because he reportedly met Tim in NYC that year and they began dating in the summer. And then the lovebirds exchanged a romantic kiss on-air on NYE the next year in the very same bar! Don Lemon gets it done!

Don Lemon, who counts among his arch-enemies fashion icon (wut?) Jonah Hill and Mensa admissions officer President Trump, is hopefully following up his engagement with some intensive psychotherapy for his dogs. Just because they can’t verbalize a protest doesn’t mean you should pull them into your hellishly cutesy engagement plans, Lemon. Think of their dignity and well-being.
