Wendy Williams Says She’s Been Living In A Sober House

Things took a turn on today’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show when Wendy Williams opened up about some serious shit. Wendy tearfully let her audience and the retail-working homosexuals at home in the middle of the day know that she has been living in a sober house to help in her fight against addiction.

54-year-old Wendy Williams let us all know about the drama she’s been dealing with behind the scenes. It’s been reported for quite some time now that Wendy has been going through it. Her friends were worried for her health, she was slurring on her show, and then she was off her show and replaced by guest hosts for a long time. There was also a rumor that her husband had a love child with his side piece. And she was seeing ghosts! Specifically Whoopi Goldberg‘s. Well add another element to the theories we were cooking up about whey Wendy is acting like this because she brought up her cocaine addiction.

“You know me for being a very open and truthful person and I’ve got more to the story for you… You know [my husband] Kevin [Hunter] and I have The Hunter Foundation for the good of the people. We recently launched our 888-5 HUNTER number for those of you caught up in the struggle of addiction. Well, for some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house. When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates. I told you – two hours a day or [so], to take care of my body… You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped…”

Wendy said that she goes to “several meetings” to “see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help.” Wendy didn’t even tell her parents, saying only she and her husband knew… and maybe he let it slip to his alleged mistress. But hey, she can keep a secret real well.

Wendy has been living in a sober facility for a while to deal with her struggles:

“Nobody knew because I look so glamorous out here. After I finish my appointments, seeing my brothers and sisters, breaking bread, I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to the home that I live in here in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family… They hog the TV and watch soccer, we talk and read and talk and read. and then I get bored with them. Doors are locked by 10 p.m. Lights out by 10 p.m. So I go to my room, and I stare at the ceiling, and I fall asleep to wake up and come back here to see you. So that is my truth.”

Wendy then reminded everyone of her Hunter Foundation and the number to call if you’re struggling with addiction:

“We have already successfully placed 56 people in recovery centers around the world, not just the country… This is a 24-hour hotline, 7 days a week. Call 888-5 HUNTER.”

Well… Wendy definitely strikes me as one of those people who really cares about something when they feel like it. You know? Because literally yesterday The Wendy Williams Show posted to their Instagram gossiping about Mama June possibly being on crack:

I’m sure Wendy wasn’t being shady, she’s just trying to help. I’m sure she sent Mama June a package of info on her Hunter Foundation and is looking to help her with her addiction. Surely Wendy isn’t the type to make fun of a woman’s possible drug addiction on her show one day and then tearfully confess her own the next? Right?

Here’s Wendy speaking her truth today:
