Open Post: Hosted By Kratu, The Rescue Dog Who Could Give A Shit About The Agility Course

Make room, Olly and Winky, a new agility course star is born!

Haven’t we all been Kratu at one time or another? Haven’t we all worn a spiritual t-shirt that read “FUCK EFFORT” at some point in our lives? Especially when our bossy owners are trying to make us run some undignified obstacle course.

Kratu is a rescue dog from Romania and here he is lying down on the job at the Birmingham, England Kennel Club’s Crufts dog show. His owner’s name is Tessa Eagle Swan and he’s obviously tired of her bullshit. He’ll do it HIS way.

Tessie doesn’t seem put out by Kraut’s rebellious nature, though. Because he’s a true original and surefire crowd-pleaser. via HuffPo

Tessa Eagle Swan, Kratu’s handler, says she rescued him when he was a few weeks old from a “very dangerous situation.” She told Crufts in 2018 that he’s “a natural clown” and “quite naughty too.”

“He really loves to please me but mostly himself!” she said of her dog in a very telling quote.

This is the second time he’s rolled his eyes at how society expects him to run the agility course.

Despite his “whatever” at Crufts, Kratu is a doggy celebrity known for his charity work and for the very exclusive company he keeps.

An ambassador dog for International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals, a U.K. charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need, and he has visited the European Parliament in Brussels.

It sounds like Kratu has more going on in his life than the majority of the humans around him so he can be forgiven for not immediately tunneling through tubes like a manic groundhog, world.
