William H. Macy’s Choice Of Words May Have Kept Him From Getting Charged Unlike Felicity Huffman

Getting into college sucks, and we all know nothing blows more than having to wake up at sunrise on a Saturday to go take the SAT at a random high school with a proctor who DGAF apart from you taking 5 extra seconds to bubble in an answer. Well, Felicity HuffmanLori Loughlin and other rich parents have been accused of bypassing that part of the equation and using their money to get their kids into college. Felicity, Lori, and Lori’s husband Mossimo were all charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. Felicity was arrested, and Lori is in the process of turning herself in.

Many have been wondering why Felicity got arrested when her husband William H. Macy seems to have been aware of what was going on and was in on some of the conversations. Alas, it sounds like those two not wanting to go the cheating route with daughter number two may have saved his ass.

Page Six reports Felicity and William were secretly recorded on a call with William Rick Singer, the ringleader who allegedly orchestrated the whole $25 million cheating admissions ring. By that point, they had already ponied up $15,000 to get their eldest daughter’s SAT scores up 400 points from where she placed on the PSAT. William Singer then asked if they wanted to do the same with their younger kid, and Frank Gallagher allegedly replied, “Yes, I think we are.” He was also apparently “cool” later in the convo when asked about how finances and operations of the dealing were going to go. Luckily for William H’s ass, they eventually decided not to repeat the cheating nonsense, according to court documents:

“Ultimately, Huffman and her spouse decided not to pursue the SAT cheating scheme for their younger daughter.”

This is all kinda rich since People notes Willy H blabbed to Parade magazine in January how hard the college application process can be:

“She’s going to go to college… We’re right now in the thick of college application time, which is so stressful. I am voting that once she gets accepted, she maybe takes a year off. God doesn’t let you be 18 twice… But it’s just my opinion, and we’ll see what she wants to do, what Felicity thinks and how the chips fall.”

Apparently, that’s Macy speak for, “It’s so stressful buying off half the College Board. This homeboy needs a frozen cocktail on a beach STAT – maybe while Felicity takes the fall and is in the slammer.
