Nicki Minaj Pissed Off Fans After Cancelling Another Show
Nicki Minaj has been having problems with her tour from the get go. First, she had to cancel a bunch of dates because they allegedly weren’t selling well, but then she denied any kind of cancellations saying she just needed more time to rehearse her quality show. Well, maybe she should have taken some extra time to make sure that the venues she was going to had electricity because apparently this last show in France was lacking some electrical outlets.
TMZ is reporting that Nicki had to cancel a second show because of technical difficulties. Previously, Nicki had to cancel a show in Slovakia because the venue was not equipped to handle all of her pulsing lights, shifting stages, smoke machines and whatever else needs to be plugged in to work. The massive requirements of the show were blowing transformers and causing power outages. You’d think after that happened the first time homegirl would be sending electrical engineers to each venue to make sure it wouldn’t happen again, but you’d think wrong.
In Bordeaux, France, Nicki found herself once again without enough power to maintain her show. She had to cancel the show last minute, leaving fans–who had already got themselves down to the arena and past the security gates–pissed off. Nicki plans on making up both missed shows, but that didn’t stop the French from revolting against her.
Video surfaced of angry French fans chanting “Cardi B! Cardi B! Cardi B!” while all being forced to exit the arena:

Nicki hopped on Instagram to let everyone know what was going on and salvage her relationship with fans who were ready to throw their shoes at her and move on to other female rappers:
“You guys… it’s not in my best interest not to perform, and lose money and aggravate my fans. I love performing for my fans. I’m more excited than you are before the show. …These two cities that had technical issues were cities that I’ve never been to before, and we tried to add them but they just didn’t have the power in the building to facilitate my show. …And they didn’t tell us that until 3 hours before the show as opposed to once we did sound check they said it was fine–but anyway, every artist, EVERY artist has technical difficulties and have to cancel shows. I wanna tell you guys that I love you dearly and I really hope to make it up very soon.”
Nicki better make sure her security in that French hotel is tight. She’s about to have to fight off angry fans storming the castle armed with heels in their hands demanding a show. Time to make a new line of t-shirts: “Electricity Stopped My Bag”.
