Lady Gaga And Christian Carino Are Officially Over
Lady Gaga will probably be hitting the red carpet at this Sunday’s upcoming Academy Awards minus one because her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino is over, though it may have been a done deal long before the official announcement was made yesterday by one of Gaga’s reps. However this entire relationship was frowned upon with side eyes and sighs because those closest to the ex-couple had a feeling that it wouldn’t last very long.
According to People, many believed the two of them had taken separate trips to Splitsville after Gaga attended the Grammys without Christian and speculation grew wider when she thanked everyone but him during her acceptance speech. The two had been together since early 2017. However their friends and inner circle never thought their relationship would last.
“Their friends knew they weren’t going to work out in the long run,” says a source close to the CAA agent. “It always seemed Christian was more into the relationship than Gaga was.”
One of the reasons Gaga probably wasn’t into the relationship, other than the fact that Christian kinda reminds me of the silver fox version of Shaggy from Scooby Doo, was because traditionally all of her relationships fizzle out quicker than a lit match in a monsoon. And ironically all of those relationships ended around the time her career was escalating to higher heights, so when she got a couple of Oscar nominations, she probably sighed and changed Christian’s ringtone to Another One Bites The Dust long before they broke up.
Another awkward piece of information is that Christian is Gaga’s agent so I’m guessing it’s going to get very interesting whenever it’s time for contract negotiations with her. He’ll probably be taking out his fee plus damages from the pain and suffering Gaga left behind on his tattered heart. However Gaga is an old pro at the Lost Lovers game and her skin grew thicker after her last engagement to Chicago Fire hotness Taylor Kinney ended in 2016. Around the time of their break-up Gaga had this to say in the Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two.
“My threshold for bulls— with men is just — I don’t have one anymore. In relationships, you have to move together.”
After they split in the film, the singer breaks down in tears as she alludes to the fact that her growing career might have contributed to the breakup. Gaga and Kinney called it quits shortly after she landed a leading role in A Star Is Born.
Gaga is probably going to win a little gold man for co-writing Shallow. And he would be the best kind of man for her; he won’t talk back, he won’t try to compete with her and whenever she leaves for work he’ll always be there when she comes home. It’s a match made in heaven.
