Nicki Minaj Dropped Out Of A BET Concert Over An Offensive Tweet
Nicki Minaj is pissed. At several people. After the Grammy, EVERYONE (aka just us bloggers in need of stuff to post) wondered what Nicki’s reaction would be to Cardi B becoming the first solo woman to win the Best Rap Album award. We now know her response, and it’s not a positive one, but not necessarily because of Cardi B herself.
E! News is reporting that Nicki took aim at the Grammys after Cardi B took home the Best Rap Album award. Her Barbz, or whatever they’re called, were wondering how it was that Nicki has been THEE female rapper for so long and yet has never won a Grammy. And Nicki served the tea to them… or at least she put the water on boil; name dropping the same Grammy producer who Ariana Grande was also mad at last week. The rest of the tea she promised to spill on her Queen Radio show:

Nicki also found herself getting dragged by BET. Yes, Black Entertainment Television took aim at Miss Minaj and poured salt in the wound post-Cardi B win, tweeting (and eventually deleting) that Nicki was getting “dragged by her lacefront”. Which she took really well. JK, she dropped out of their upcoming concert, the BET Experience, and all future BET Award shows:

BET started circling the wagons and threw up an apology after deleting their tweet, giving the following statement:
“BET loves Nicki Minaj. We have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward… Unfortunately the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written. The post does not reflect how we feel about Nicki. And further does not reflect our company values. We deeply apologize for the hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused. We are committed to doing everything we can to address the situation.”
At the end BET sounds like they’re about to put on their best knee-pads and suck Nicki’s dick for the rest of her life if they forgive her. This is your chance, Nicki. Ask for whatever you want. Although, Nicki probably won’t let BET suck her dick unless they have a criminal record, so…
