Cardi B Deactivated Her Instagram Account Over Hate About Her Grammy Win

February 12, 2019 / Posted by:

In the past thirty-six hours Cardi B has gone from winning a Grammy to being pimped out for promotion by her husband Offset and now, because of internet hate over her win, she has completely destroyed her Instagram account. However, she did not go away gently into the dying of the light.

People reports that Cardi, who has never been one to shy away from telling everyone how she feels, took to her Instagram in a now deleted post where she unleashed hell upon everyone who believes she didn’t deserve her Grammy. Adding fuel to this firestorm was that recent tweet by BET congratulating Cardi’s win by basically calling her BFF (Best Foe Forevah!) Nicki Minaj a sad imitation with no Grammys and bad wigs. That was an epic failure in many ways, and Cardi did not hold back with her words as she got her trolls all the way together.

The way her voice elevates during that minute-long rant is like how sirens sound when their volume goes from zero to 100 in mere seconds. And the way she kept pointing those pink Wolverine claws at the camera is a clear indication that she means business. After she posted this video, she deleted her entire account. But she did get support from Chance The Rapper, who posted a comment to Cardi’s IG before she deleted it praising her for her win.

This is overly deserved, the album was front-to-back hits. It would be inconceivable not to honor u last night. So happy for you, u made history and u brought ur husband onstage who i saw literally making phone calls and trips to make sure n****s did right by u and turned they verses in on time. Look man u need to live in this moment for awhile! Straight up bask in it YOU deserve it. Its a feeling very few will ever know, but YOU do. God bless see y’all soon.

I doubt this is the last we’ve heard of Cardi because she and social media are stuck with each other like magnets and refrigerators. Plus, although her Instagram account is down, she’s still on Twitter so don’t be too shocked if she comes back a few hours later with a post explaining why she was so angry earlier right before Offset jumps in front of the camera with her award screaming, “But we still got a Grammy, bitch!”

Our commenting rules are pretty simple: Don't be racist or bigoted, or go way off topic when not in an Open Post. If you see an offensive or spammy comment you think should be deleted, flag it for the mods and they'll be forever grateful and give you their first born (although, you probably don't want that).
