Mo’Nique Allegedly Threatened To Hit Steve Harvey When She Appeared On His Show

The Jasmine Brand reports that, during an appearance on Steve Harvey’s talk show, Oscar-winning comedian Mo’Nique allegedly got so irritated by the host that she threatened to hit him. We might share a surname but I feel no loyalty. That dude has been inherently slappable for a lifetime now.

Mo’Nique deservedly won an Oscar in 2010 for portraying the mother from hell in Precious but then sorta shot herself in the hairy leg by speaking publicly on her issues with Precious director Lee Daniels and producer Oprah Winfrey. Tyler Perry got involved and he, too, was added to her “And you can suck my dick, and you can suck my dick, and you and you…” list. Mo has also been vocal about how Netflix should be boycotted for not offering her as much money as Amy Schumer for a comedy special. She went on The View to discuss this. Both of her major career pain points were brought up and co-host Whoopi Goldberg tried to explain what was what about Hollywood to Mo’Nique. This displeased Mo, and she went on to refer to Whoopi as “the help” in a subsequent interview. There, now you’re caught up and ready for the part where Mo’Nique allegedly offered to reset Steve Harvey’s jawline with her hand.

During the taping of the episode, Steve reportedly told Mo’Nique she needed to publicly apologize to Whoopi. Steve would have been better off suggesting Mo’ use an Epilady on her gams and perhaps pass her Oscar to scene partner Mariah Carey for safekeeping.

“She threatened to hit Steve in the face. He told her if she hit him, her husband would have to come out and square off.”

No word on what happened next. The cameras were supposedly rolling during this, and the episode is set to air in the next few weeks. If he’s got any sort of brain in his head, Steve Harvey will promote the stuffing out of this episode. And he should immediately up the price of advertising during it to Superbowl levels. The “Mo’Nique Threatens To Slap Me” episode should be ratings gold!
