Ozuna Claims He’s The Victim Of Extortion Over A Porn He Made When He Was 16 (And There’s More)
I read this story about eight times yesterday at eight different sites, and unpacking it was like trying to unpack a messy suitcase while operating on 20 minutes of sleep at 3 in the morning after an 8-hour long flight where a baby screamed the entire way and the Ambien I took refused to work. I just wanted to close up my suitcase and eat a microwaved Marie Callender’s chicken pot pie while watching 90 Day Fiancé reruns. But here we are. This story involves an underage porn, blackmail, and the murder of an openly gay trap star. 26-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap singer Ozuna, who was featured on that Taki Taki song, released two statements yesterday to try to stop a porn he made from making the rounds. Ozuna claims it was recorded when he was just 16 years old, making the tape ILLEGAL. There’s reports saying that openly gay Latin trap singer Kevin Fret threatened to release the tape. Kevin Fret was fatally shot eight times on January 10th of this year while riding his motorcycle in San Juan. Kevin Fret’s murderer hasn’t been caught yet. I hear all of you going “hmmmm” in your best Keith Morrison from Dateline NBC voice.

The first statement came from Ozuna’s lawyer, claiming the “intimate video” was shot when he was a minor, and that it was later edited “with the objective of causing even more harm.” What Ozuna’s lawyer is getting at is that the video was edited to make it look like he’s doing gay sex stuff with other men. His lawyer confirmed he was extorted and that they contacted the authorities at the time. Ozuna put out his own statement:
“What happened was a mistake of the past. Like many young people, I made a mistake, fueled by ignorance. Today, I’m not only sorry for what happened, but I condemn it. That’s why I looked for help and I am certain everything will be cleared. Likewise, I’m following the process and am always willing to collaborate with authorities to prevent the evil that resulted from this big mistake. More importantly, I ask my family for forgiveness. They are my life’s priority and I will continue to fight for them always.”
Puerto Rican newspaper Primera Hora (via E! News) reports that in 2017, Kevin Fret used social media to threaten Ozuna with the release of the tape. Ozuna ended up transferring $50,000 to Kevin Fret’s bank account to keep the tape on the hush. After Kevin Fret got paid, Ozuna filed a complaint against him with the FBI in Miami.
Now, Ozuna apparently did a porn in 2012 called New York Sex Chronicles when he was 19 years old. It apparently shows Ozuna, going by the name J-Ox, jacking off by himself. The video then jumps to a gay threesome. That video is being passed around the internet. Since the tape Ozuna’s talking about is of the ILLEGAL kind, it makes me think that there’s a second one that was filmed when he was underage and that’s the one he was blackmailed over. But his lawyer tells The Daily Mail “that the New York Sex Chronicles adult film is the only one of his knowledge.” All together now:

Ozuna is married to Taina Marie Melendez and they have two children together. There’s also a rumor that Ozuna and Kevin Fret were a thing once.
Since Kevin Fret was reportedly extorting Ozuna and then was murdered, everyone has dropped their sunglasses and is looking at him with suspicious eyes. But his lawyer told everyone to take their Detective La Toya brand magnifying glasses off of him:
“One thing is blackmail and another is murder. Ozuna had nothing to do with this death.”
My mind is once again being hit with a thousand questions like, “How many porn tapes are there exactly?” and “How bold do you have to be to admit to the person you’re extorting that you’ve got an ILLEGAL sex tape in your possession?” There’s so much to this that I need to clear my head by listening to Taki Taki. Yes, I’m clearing and soothing my head with Taki Taki. That’s how fucked up this story is.
