Cory Booker And Rosario Dawson Have Supposedly Been Dating For A Month

Sometimes when I go to Target, I want name-brand items, but my pockets always laugh and say, “Not today bitch!”, so I have to settle for the store brand called Market Pantry. Finding out that New Jersey Senator Cory Booker and actress/activist Rosario Dawson have been dating since December makes them the Market Pantry version of Barack and Michelle. But considering the alternative of our current first couple, I’ll take it! Gladly.

Cory and Rosario have known each other since 2016, but Page Six says that they recently began spending a lot more time together having been spotted around New York City at the movies as well as at the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen where she may have professed her love for Cory with a song after the show. Rosario is pretty political, but according to Complex, she isn’t ready to throw her hat into the ring just yet.

Dawson has been a constant presence in the political sphere for quite some time now. She co-founded the nonprofit organization Voto Latino, which aims to encourage more young Latinos to register to vote and become more politically engaged. She has been arrested on two separate occasions while protesting. When asked by Variety about her interest in running for office, she responded, “Maybe down the line, long down the line, but not right now.”

I hope this is a real relationship and Rosario isn’t simply doing research for her next role as a senator’s wife in a Lifetime series called The Senator’s Wife (because they own the market on movie titles). Or even worse, I hope this relationship wasn’t just thrown together because Cory is a damn near fifty-year-old unmarried brotha known for addressing questions about his sexuality from time to time and decided to grow a beard. Honestly, if he is gay, who gives a fuck? But Cory is probably going to run for president in 2020 and we haven’t had a single president elected since Grover Cleveland in the 1886, so there could be a chance that he’ll soon be saying to Rosario, “I promise to love, cherish you, and forgive you for doing Unforgettable.
