Netflix Had To Tell People Not To Blindfold Themselves For The #BirdBoxChallenge

Sandra Bullock is responsible for a lot. She saved the Miss USA pageant, plummeted to Earth from a satellite, did not crash a speeding bus full of people and stole a bunch of fancy shit from the MET Gala. For some reason no one was ever inspired to go out and do those things. But this time around, Sandra’s performance in Bird Box–where she yells at unnamed children and never opens her eyes–has really touched something in the people of the world, and they are out here doing the same.

Netflix tweeted an obvious warning after noticing they may be held criminally liable for dangerous idiots when they accidentally became responsible for the newest internet craze: the #BirdBoxChallenge–where people put on blindfolds and perform daily tasks.

You can’t believe you have to say it? Honey, people have been out here swallowing cinnamon, snorting condoms, popping open their lips in shot glasses, and acting like general idiots with poor decision-making skills. This is totally on-brand for humanity. Let’s peek into the world of these great choices:

Even those ebony and ivory kooks over at GMA, Michael Strahan and Sara Haines tried their hand at this tomfoolery:

More than 45 million accounts have watched Bird Box and I’m sure the memes and now this challenge will only get more people to watch it, so be on the look out for idiotic youths covering their eyes while they mow the lawn in an attempt to go viral.

Why are we worried about global warming? We’re all going to kill ourselves by trying to do some stupid internet “challenge” way before the environment turns on us. This is super stupid and will definitely result in some injuries. And when those injuries happen, I will look up “Worst Bird Box Challenge fails” and cringe-watch as people put themselves in the hospital.
