Tiffany Haddish Bombed At A NYE Stand-Up Performance In Miami
Booking a New Year’s Eve show in a major city is a pretty impressive feather for any stand-up comedian’s cap. Unfortunately for Tiffany Haddish, the feather wasn’t tightly secured and fell off and got trampled during her set at Miami’s James L. Knight Center. Tiffany was not ready and bombed spectacularly. And because #thesetryingtimes continue a pace in 2019, some clown recorded it and posted in on Twitter, prompting harsh backlash to Tiffany’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad night.
According to Deadline, Tiffany was under-prepared, under-rehearsed and hung the fuck over. Not a good look when people are paying NYE prices for tickets.
The Girls Trip star didn’t have a good night at her show. In fact, she bombed. Audience members started walking out during her show where a lot of her jokes weren’t landing — at least the ones she remembered. She forgot a lot of her jokes and her fans did not hold back to express their dissatisfaction. They took to Twitter saying how bad her show was.
I went to go see if @TiffanyHaddish was actually funny. I ended up doing this. Conclusion: She is not funny. Horrible show. In her defense, she said she was having a rough night. She didn’t have to be up there. She ended up inviting me up on stage to tell jokes. ??♂️? pic.twitter.com/Ze1BPzeY9S

Tiffany posted a video on Instagram, claiming she had been partying throughout the previous night, right up until the day of the show.
Tiffany responded to the stories about her whack set, taking responsibility and saying it will never happen again. Because she “prayed on it”. I hope Jesus told her he was gonna take the bottle next time instead of the wheel.
Yes this happened. I wish it was better Miami. I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never happened again. Tiffany Haddish Bombs, Drinks with Fans Instead https://t.co/4QxPn0j0xc via @TheRoot

Many comics on Twitter have reached out to assure Tiffany that bombing is a necessary part of being a comic.
This is the price of fame when you're a comic. I was so lucky that there wasn't a Snapchat/IG when I was starting out on my first big tour. No REAL comic never bombs.
You are a hilarious, incredible talent @TiffanyHaddish and I can't wait to see you live! Ignore the haters! https://t.co/2nhpemOsGV

Failure is a part of growth and lessons get learned. The crowd will speak on this night forever so they had an experience, and you are the wiser. Not end of world. You’ll shine more in 2019

Cameras blow everything out of proportion. Having a bad set is part of being a comic. You’re dope 🙂

But before Tiffany bombed, she put the rage in animal rights activists and racists with a half-baked protest which involves wearing raccoon fur in protest of police violence against black people. She says she’s going to wear fur everyday until it stops. The raccoons probably cursed her for this!
Tiffany, you in danger, girl!
