Tyra Banks Is Leaving “America’s Got Talent” To Become A Huge Producer
It’s a tale as old as time. A humble television personality hits the big time and suddenly all of her previous work is below her and she needs to focus her time and energy into a big CAREER. Well, pour one out for all the fans of Tyra Banks’ wide-eyed antics on America’s Got Talent because homegirl just handed her bosses a letter reading: “I quit this bitch.”
Page Six is getting the exclusive confirmation that She of The Smize will be leaving NBC’s AGT. Previously, Tyra had been hinting that she might be over that high-paying low-requirements gig, saying in November:
“I think I had a really nice run with AGT. I had a lot of fun.”
We know that when a trick is talking in the past-tense and hun is still on the show, then it means they’re usually about to put on a parachute and jump out of the plane. Watch for Tyra’s landing, because she is out of there. A source close to Tyra spoke with Page Six and told them that Life-Size 2: A Christmas Eve really blew the fuck up and now Hollywood can’t stop calling her! Or something like that. A source said:
“Life Size-2 went way beyond expectations… it was Freeform’s biggest premiere of the year… executives were over the moon with the cult classic sequel… Tyra’s been inundated with producing and acting requests… she wants to produce and create TV. She will not be returning to AGT in the new year.”
Damn, Lindsay Lohan, maybe you should have done that cameo, huh? Maybe then you could come home from that beach we banished you to.
Tyra also just nabbed Nielsen’s top spot in the rankings of primetime TV talent that “spark social media activity”, so girl is on a roll.
Can’t wait to see what kind of award-winning, emotionally-relevant material Tyra cranks out next. I know she’s been wanting to get a Coyote Ugly remake going so maybe she’ll focus on that. Whatever TyTy involves herself with I just hope that she also makes her way in front of the camera. She’s such a talented actress, how could she not?
