Scary Spice Badly Hurt Her Arm

Does Victoria Beckham have an alibi?? Mel B hasn’t had the easiest few years with her divorce proceedings and the whole back and forth on whether the Spice Girls were going to get back together and make that money. The gals (sans Posh) are reuniting for a tour, but even that isn’t without its hiccups. The same day she was scheduled to fly to California from London, Mel had a scary incident that somehow involved broken ribs, an injured hand, and emergency surgery.

TMZ says Mel was sent to the hospital from an incident that still isn’t entirely clear but resulted in a “severed” hand and a whole lot of pain. She was a little coy about what had caused the whole mess when she posted about it on social media:

One of Mel’s friends snitched that she had been staying with a friend and fell down a flight of stairs after she lost her balance. Some people might question if drugs or alcohol was involved, but Scary’s lawyer, Taline Boyamian, said that wasn’t the case. There is a bit of bad timing in this since Scary was flying to Los Angeles to give a drug test, which is a court-ordered component of her custody battle with ex-husband from hell Stephen Belafonte. Taline claims Mel’s tests have always come back negative and is almost done with the required round. She did have to end up cancelling a book signing in New York because of the fall. In order to cheer the gal up, her other Spice Girls (minus Posh, of course) came to the hospital for a visit:

The Spice Girls are expected to each bring in $3 million for the upcoming U.K. tour, and that number could go higher if more dates are added. Checking in on a friend’s health or checking that a valuable part of their future paychecks isn’t on the down and out for long? Same difference!
