Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas’ Wedding Got The People Magazine Treatment
Did you spend last weekend in a solitary room without any access to the internet, radio, media of any kind, or human voices? If so, then I’m pleased to be the first to tell you that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married over the weekend. Although I probably didn’t have to tell you, considering you were probably bombarded with wedding day smiles seconds after you returned to the real world. Priyanka and Nick filled Instagram with pictures from their many wedding events, they appeared on Vogue’s first digital cover. And now you won’t be able to avoid them at the grocery store, because they’re on this week’s cover of People.
Inside this week’s issue of People is Priyanka and Nick’s exclusive “wedding album,” which is magazine talk for “We paid a lot of money for these photos.” People has the details on Priyanka and Nick’s outfits for their Christian wedding ceremony. Priyanka wore a hand-beaded Ralph Lauren gown and a 75-foot-long veil. Priyanka’s dress took 1,826 hours to make, and was only the fourth wedding gown Ralph Lauren himself had designed (the first three were for immediate family). Nick wore a Ralph Lauren tuxedo. Both Priyanka and Nick wore Ralph Lauren to the 2017 Met Gala. I’m sensing a theme here.
Priyanka also talks about how nervous she was before walking down the aisle. And no, the fear didn’t come from the realization that she was legally marrying a Jonas brother after a few months of dating. It was just regular wedding-day nerves.
“It was all tears. All tears. I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life.”
Nick called all the ceremonies “perfect,” and added that it was “highly emotional.” People also has some footage of Priyanka in her custom dress and 75-foot train walking down the aisle with her mother at her second wedding ceremony over the weekend. That’s a huge train. That train is like a metaphor for how much work Priyanka and Nick’s publicists have put in this past week.
