Unsealed Texts Show That Lady Gaga And Kesha Think Katy Perry’s A Meanie
Olive branch be damned – Lady Gaga and Kesha just earned themselves a massive “TOLD YA SO!” bouquet of roses from Taylor Swift. In the ongoing Dr. Luke saga of him being a general asshole and alleged abuser to Kesha, Gaga forked over any relevant evidence in his defamation case against Kesha. The evidence included texts between Kesha and Gaga about the case. The texts were previously blacked out, but the uncensored ones were made public and in them, Gaga and Kesha take a major swipe at Katy Perry and what sounds like her nonexistent backbone.
Uproxx says the texts are about Luke allegedly raping Katy (which she has denied) and how she could have brought Kesha’s case against the producer to a head if she had just spoken about her own experience. Alas, Gaga and Kesha basically say she’s a self-involved meanie:
K: She could bring the whole thing to a head, but she won’t. […] She was raped by the same man. It’s sick.
G: She is probably really afraid to lose everything. U are really strong for standing up to him, she’s not as strong as u yet.
K: your right. I need to find sympathy and empathy for her. she’s so mean. it’s hardLG: Do u want me to see if I can talk to her
LG: I know she’s mean
K: are you friendly with her?
LG: NO
LG: OmgNO
LG: She makes me angry about shit by I just try to have empathy for her.
A petty person would say it was a waste since she lost everything with Witness anyway, but I would never! It sounds like a pretty twisted turn of events, and Luke’s legal team fired off a statement denying anything bad had happened:
“Katy Perry herself confirmed that Dr. Luke did not rape her. Kesha’s accusation to the contrary — just like her other outrageous lies about Dr. Luke — is baseless and irresponsible, and it is disrespectful to both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke. In his defamation lawsuit against Kesha, Dr. Luke seeks damages for the harm caused by these malicious falsehoods.”
Blergh blergh blergh. But on a lighter note, if you ask me, it sounds like Tay Tay has all the reason in the world to relaunch the July 4th party since she clearly has new recruits when it comes to Gaga and Kesha!
