The Fisher-Price Little People Action Garage From The 1970s!

Since I was a toddler of the 80s, I look at toddler toys of the 70s the same way that toddlers of the 90s look at toddler toys of the 80s. With a judgmental look that says, “You neanderthal bitches may as well have played with rocks and twigs.” But there were some toys from the 70s that brought my toy snob 80s self hours of entertainment like the Fisher-Price Little People parking garage.

The Fisher-Price Little People are toy legends, and they had many play sets. But in the 80s, my cousin had the action garage that we played for hours with. I don’t know if it was a hand-me-down from an older cousin or her parents bought it for her at a garage sale, but it was plastic jewel of entertainment.

You’d take one of those janky ass Little People, put them in a janky ass one-seater convertible car (and in the Little People world, there are no rules so janky ass babies can drive) and vroom vroom that bitch up the parking lot ramp, gas up your car, and then truly make your mind explode by taking your car up and down the elevator. The YouTube channel The Lucky Penny did a video showing off all the wonders of the Fisher-Price Little People Action Garage.

That play set really ruined adult life for us. Because now whenever I’m at a multi-level parking garage and need to get down, I sit there in my car thinking, “Where the hell is the badass elevator?
