Kenya Moore’s Baby Was Delivered Early Because Of Preeclampsia

If you’re a ho like me who has never really heard of “preeclampsia” before, you’re probably looking at that word like, “OH! I’ve had that plenty of times and the nice people at the free clinic gave me some antibiotics for it.” No, slut, that’s prechlamydia, and any of us who have looked at orgasm face pictures of John Mayer have gotten that. But this is preeclampsia we’re talking about.

Kenya Moore, formerly of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, announced to her 1.3 Instagram followers on October 27 that she had tested positive for preeclampsia, which caused her feet to swell bigger than NeNe Leakes’ ego and caused her to gain 17 pounds in one week from water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. Kenya’s baby was supposed to twirl out of her body around Thanksgiving time, but because of her serious condition, her doctor busted out a c-section yesterday and her first child is here. If Kenya’s baby is anything like her, the kid probably screamed, “Don’t come for me unless I send for you!!!!!”, while being pulled out.

People says that 47-year-old Kenya, who got pregnant through in vitro, gave birth to her and her 47-year-old husband Marc Daly’s first child at 9:39 in the morning yesterday. Kenya and Marc’s daughter weighed in at 5 lbs. and 12 oz. They named her Brooklyn Doris Daly, and even though her body was recovering from a c-section, she explained the name to People.

“Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me.”

Baby BDD is probably breathing several sighs of relief over her parents not meeting and falling in love in Kickapoo, Kansas or Hooker, California. Kenya hasn’t yet posted the prerequisite reality show baby picture of Brooklyn’s hand holding her finger, but she did post this right before her c-section.

As for the name, Brooklyn Doris Daly sounds like a cross between a local daily newsletter that keeps Doris Day fans up to date on everything Doris Day and the name of a women’s baseball star from the 1940s. So I approve!

Baby Brooklyn arrived the same day as the premiere of the new season of RHoA, which Kenya isn’t on anymore. And right after Kenya announced she gave birth, NeNe told everyone that a pregnant Porsha Williams is in the hospital for pain (her baby is fine). Now I’m not saying that they’re all trying to snatch the spotlight from each other, but I am saying that they’re all trying to snatch the spotlight from each other. If Kenya and Porsha were in the same hospital, I bet Baby Brooklyn grabbed a tiny bullhorn and crawled on over to Porsha’s room to scream at Porsha’s fetus for trying to upstage her on her big day.
