Alec Baldwin Says He Never Punched That Guy
If Alec Baldwin’s personal life reputation was a corny joke, it might be:
Why did Alec Baldwin cross the road?
To get to the other side, so that he could rage out on some random driver/pedestrian/photographer.
Seeing Alec Baldwin lose his shit on the streets of New York is almost as New York than a rat getting married to a pizza slice in an alley way under a hobo pee-soaked menu from Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar. So when Alec was arrested on Friday for allegedly punching someone over a parking spot, it wasn’t exactly a shock. But Alec has denied it happened.
Alec and an unknown 49-year-old motorist fought over a parking spot at 10th Street and 5th Avenue. Alec’s friend was reportedly saving the spot for him, when another driver snagged it. Alec was pissed, an altercation broke out, and he allegedly punched the other man in the jaw. The other man was taken to the hospital. Alec was charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment before being released. On Friday afternoon, Alec tried to clear his name on Twitter:
1- Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story.
However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false.
I wanted to go on the record stating as much.
I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative— HABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) November 2, 2018
2- negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment.
Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos, it doesn’t make the statements true.

Alec doesn’t exactly deny punching someone, just that he didn’t punch someone over a parking spot. However, TMZ says that Alec might technically be telling the truth. Police sources tell TMZ that Wojciech Cieszowski – the man Alec allegedly hit – told police that Alec hit him with his hand, which would imply more of a slap than a punch. A slap is still assault, but it’s generally considered less serious than a punch.
TMZ also says there is security camera footage of the event. It’s grainy and low-quality, and it does show Alec and Wojciech shoving each other, although it’s unclear if Alec ever hits him. If the two of them were shoving, Alec could argue that it was mutual combat and not assault.
Wojciech spoke to Page Six on Saturday. Wojciech says he’s recovering and that he’s going to be fine. Page Six shadily points out that Wojciech didn’t appear to have any bruising on his face when they met him at his home in New York.
I sort of believe Alec Baldwin when he says he didn’t punch anyone. Alec operates on a sliding scale of increased rage. And punching definitely seems like something that happens after he hisses the word “cocksucker.”
