Open Post: Hosted By Megan Mullally Telling The Story Of How Her House Was Haunted By Nicole Brown

This country’s fascination for everything to do with O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown Simpson is sky-high…unless you’re Nick Offerman. Nick’s wife Megan Mullally was on the Halloween episode of Busy Philipps’ new talk show on E! last night, and when it came to ghost stories, hers may have just been trying to get Nick to hop aboard the S.S. Simpson!. Nick and Megan used to live in a house that was on property that previously housed a place O.J. rented for Nicole, and Megan says Nicole’s ghost haunted them.

Nick never really understood what the big deal was with the O.J. trial, and that apparently pissed off Nicole’s spirit:

“We would have in that house, in one corner of the house like maybe where the bedroom used to be in the old house, we would have all these sounds and weird things all the time. I would be like, ‘That’s Nicole and she’s pissed because Nick doesn’t get it.’”

I really don’t know what you could have been doing to NOT get how big of a deal the O.J. chase, trial, and verdict were to America. I was barely out of the zygote phase and remember having no other option but to watch the white Bronco go down the highway.

Megan says that when all the documentaries and the Ryan Murphy American Crime Story miniseries came out, Nick watched and FINALLY saw what the rest of us have known all along, and that apparently pleased Nicole’s ghost or as Megan put it, “She needed Nick to understand what happened.” Considering what happened, Nicole’s ghost seems very benevolent. My ghost self would have exploded all their toilets and been sure to howl like the moon at every Parks & Recreation finale just to show Nick’s ass who is boss.
